The New York Times reported on the front page of its Business section on Wednesday that CNN’s ratings are terrible and their financial picture looks rough. But reporter Benjamin Mullin wrote absolutely nothing about the network’s liberal tilt, or losing its daily fearmongering about Donald Trump.
Fox boasted strong July ratings. According to a press release, Fox announced Tuesday that “FOX News Channel, (FNC),” finished July 2022 in third place among all television networks during prime time on weekdays, behind only CBS and NBC. They even boasted “FNC’sFive Tucker Carlson Tonight both beat ABC’s Bachelorette in total viewers.”
According to The Washington Free Beacon, Chris Licht, CEO of CNN met with Republicans at Capitol Hill in an effort to assert that CNN wants to “regain your trust”. But there’s just nothing in the way CNN is currently operating right now that should give Republicans confidence that it’s changing in any noticeable way. Take this example:
— CNN’s Day of the NewLicht warned crew not to use “Big Lie” as a description of Trump’s belief in Biden’s defeat. Their election reporters were heavily salted with the usual terms, the Big Lie, Election Denier, and democracy was on the ballot.”
CNN is urging abortion supporters to pre-lament the fact that the confusing language used in Kansas’ abortion referendum was an attempt to stop the pro-abortion movement.
CNN ran “audio” of Viktor Orban’s speech in which he spoke about Romanian race mixing …. but Fareed Zakaria, a CNN host, was the one speaking.
— Brian Stelter’s dramatic double standard on the takedown of terrorist Ayman al-Zawahiri (under Biden) and Qasem Soleimani (under Trump). Stelter exuded patriotic sentiments about being one of the 9/11 architects. But two years ago, it was patriotic to denounce Trump’s team as a gaggle of liars, and imply that any celebration of getting Soleimani was equivalent to being fooled by propagandists, and volunteering to wear blinders.
