NewsBusters Podcast: Beware the Media’s Chosen ‘Extremism Experts’

Liberal journalists have turned to “extremism specialists,” “violence research” and “scholars” in the aftermath of Trump’s raid at his Florida house. This is to back their claim that right-wing rhetoric about the raid will lead to violence. The FBI Cincinnati office was attacked by a gunman. Who are these experts? The nonpartisans are Democrats, Obama advisers and progressives.

The New York TimesRobert Pape was used to compare the conditions of America to the ones of a dry forest on the ground with lots of combustible materials. To ignite the fire, all it takes to start the flame is a spark. You can read more about it here. TimesThe story was ended by Pape saying that it was “wildfire season” for violence right-wing talk. Pape provided advice to Barack Obama during his 2008 campaign for the presidency. 

Yahoo! Yahoo! News reached out to Jared Holt who was an investigative journalist for the leftists of “People for the American Way” during the Trump years. Two years he also worked with David Brock, a Fox-hating media analyst group.

NPR channeled Rachel Carroll Rivas from the Southern Poverty Law Center to address the criticisms made about the “Don’t Tread on Me” flag. NPR praises the book The Defense of LootingHe also praised a book that suggested leftist raceriots should be described as glowingly as “rebellions”.

These “extremism experts”, as they were called, were not identified ideologically as being on the Left.

Also, we discuss the bizarre conversation between CNN’s Brian Stelter (CNN) and Oliver Darcy which suggested — defiance of reality — the “mainstream media” hasn’t been reporting on the most talked about pro-Trump activists via social media or podcasts such as Steve Bannon. What could possibly go wrong with them so shamelessly?
