Sometimes, it seems that it doesn’t really matter what warm body is in the New York Governor’s office because they will all act the same. The same is true for Kathy Hochul who was recently installed as Madame Governor. She replaced Andrew Cuomo, who used to be a horrible and creepy guy. Andrew is Fredo’s elder brother, and you may remember him from that gig. CNNIt is a fact that very few people watch.
Governor Hochul seems to have decided to follow good ole Andrew’s playbook on how to deal with the new variant coming out of South Africa, which is really just the same way other variants of the “Cove” were dealt with. Possibly, she was not paying attention to how well that all went down when she was the Lt. Guv and honestly, you can’t blame her being it is a cushy gig with a sweet check for doing nothing.
Starting at The Detroit News…
She said the variant hasn’t yet been detected in the state but that she decided to sign an executive order to allow the health department to limit non-essential, non-urgent procedures at hospitals and acquire critical supplies more quickly. This order will take effect on Dec. 3, and it will be reviewed based on January 15th’s latest data.
“We continue to see warning signs of spikes this upcoming winter, and while the new omicron variant has yet to be detected in New York state, it’s coming,” Hochul said.
Hochul claimed earlier that the increase in hospitalizations was due to vaccine resistance. She also discouraged large indoor gatherings for Thanksgiving, saying then that “we are heading into a vulnerable time.”
The new Governess believes that preparing for the next variant will reduce hospitalizations by making sure people don’t have stuff to do or gather for Thanksgiving indoors. That advice was so 2020, back when we didn’t have the “vaccinations” to save us all. But, I was able to hear this argument again last year. How about we look at the current status of the Empire State’s vaccination rates?
Based on Spectrum OneThe Guv surprised everyone last week by announcing the current rate of vaccines.
Governor Gov. Kathy Hochul made Monday’s announcement.
The governor cites data from the CDC that shows 80.3% have had their vaccinations. 77.1% received at least one dose and 68.1% completed their series.
“As of today, 90 percent of adult New Yorkers have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine – while that is an incredible achievement, it’s crucial we continue to take precautions to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe from this deadly virus as we head into the holiday season,” Hochul said in a statement. “We know the tools to stop the spread of COVID: Get vaccinated, get the booster if you are already vaccinated, and please stay home if you’re feeling sick. Both the vaccine and booster are safe and easily available. Don’t put it off any longer.”
So, if I’m reading this right, and I’m pretty sure I am, New York has somewhere between 80 to 90% of its sheeeeep, I mean people, with at least one shot in the arm. This is quite impressive in a state known for having tolerant attitudes towards everything and everyone. Why is the executive order telling hospitals not to perform elective surgery? I would think that the administrators of these medical facilities could make that determination of how to best allocate thier resources and not some Johnny come lately politician just reading off the former failure’s playbook.
Biden’s new variation, which has him so nervous that he will stop travel from South Africa tomorrow morning, has now broken through all of the protocol that Fauci Inc. had worked to promote for the last two years. You would think that New York would be uniquely positioned to cruise right through this but the Governor’s actions tell a different story. I’m also pretty sure that this is the third or fourth variation of a variant that is going to ruin everything.
There are many executive actions you can take without having to use a scientific method.
More ringing the alarm bell of fear that people who don’t do everything the government minders tell us to do are the problem.
New York City is witnessing more incompetence, this time from someone who occasionally wears a gown.
New York, I hope you do work on getting someone in the Governor’s seat next year that is not just a carbon copy of the current and former Governor you have had. People who are only interested in scaring people with fear should not be leading you.
