New Poll Shows Americans Aren’t Buying Latest Dem Spin on Economy, Biden – Opinion

Democrats and some in liberal media are now trying to push the fiction that Joe Biden may be turning things around, that he had the “best week ever” with things like the killing of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) caving on the Inflation Reduction Act, and gas prices coming down some (but still being far higher then they were when Biden came into office).

Now, of course, the Biden team wants credit for gas prices going down when they’re the ones that drove them up in the first place. So no, sorry, but I don’t give them any credit for that. They are to blame for the high cost of this, as well as how many people still pay that price.

As we’ve reported, the Inflation Reduction Act is one of the biggest lies they’re selling out there, with 230 economists saying that not only won’t it lower inflation; rather, it’s going to raise it. Even Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is throwing them under the bus on that one, admitting that it won’t help reduce inflation. Deceptive also is the job number. While labor participation has slowed, many are still working multiple jobs to stay afloat.

Are Americans buying into what Democrats want to sell? Are Americans changing their opinion of Joe Biden?

But not much.

Based on polls conducted over the August 5-6, ABC/Ipsos found that Americans continue to rate Biden below average on almost all issues. They are particularly disapprove of the issue of inflation with only 29% approval and 69% disapproval.

The majority of them disapprove even of the way he handles abortion. 41 percent approve and 58 percent disagree.

More than two-thirds of Americans — 69 percent — think the economy is getting worse, compared to just 12 percent who said that it is getting better. Biden and Democrats may try to hide a lot, but Americans are aware of what’s happening to their pockets. They are aware of when Democrats try to manipulate them. They know we’re in a recession no matter how much the Biden team tries to redefine the very meaning of the term.

When it comes to enthusiasm, Republicans are the better. 75% of Republicans stated that they are very excited about the midterm elections, while only 68% of Democrats agreed. Only 49 percent said that they were extremely enthusiastic.

Respondents trust Republicans even more in areas like immigration, economics, inflation, and criminal justice.

When almost 70 percent of the country isn’t buying what you’re selling, three months before the midterms, you just may be in big trouble.
