New Book Claims Jill Biden Didn’t Want Kamala for VP — Turns out Joe Was Reluctant, Too – Opinion

We’ve already seen reports that First Lady Jill Biden had reservations about the choice of Kamala Harris as Vice President, but a new book gives us a deeper look—and it turns out Joe Biden himself had concerns.

The book, called “This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future,” is authored by New York TimesAlexander Burns (reporter) and Jonathan Martin (reporter), are scheduled to be released May 3.

Fox News, which received an excerpt, reports that Jill Biden was not pleased when she learned Harris became a leading candidate to serve as Biden’s running mate. According to reports, she reacted by yelling:

The United States has millions upon millions. We shouldn’t have to choose Joe the attacker.

It’s easy to see why Jill felt so upset. It’s hard to forget about the 2019 presidential debate, when Harris attacked Biden and called him racist.

When you say to someone, “I do not believe you are a racist,” what you are in fact saying is, “I believe you are a total racist SOB.” Why would you even bring up the R word in the first place, unless you were trying to tar someone with that brush?

For some time, the claim that Jill Biden wasn’t a fan Kamala was circulating. Fox News reports that:

The book also highlights Biden’s own reservations to select Harris as a running mate. Noting her “past romantic relationship with Willie Brown, the former San Francisco mayor who had appointed Harris to a pair of minor political positions,” the book said Biden described the behavior “as the kind of thing that should be off limits.”

They were referring to THAT story about Kamala Harris, which reportedly started her career in politics through an affair she had with Willie Brown, former San Francisco mayor.

Biden was reported to have considered New Mexico Governor as a running mate. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and even Stacey Abrams, who “pushed hard” for the job (but didn’t pass the “smell test”).

This pick did not go as planned. RedState documented extensively that Vice President was a disaster with low approval ratings. 18 points below even Joe Biden’s. Below are just some of the headlines that we published over the last month.

She has become more famous for her inappropriate cackles and tendency to speak as if she’s addressing small children. Infamy continues to live with this clip:

These struggles are almost comical and make for great parody and mockery. There’s nothing funny about it, however, as she is second-in-command of the free world and one heartbeat away from the presidency.

Joe should have listened to his wife—and his own misgivings.
