Networks SKIP Sentencing of Gay Democrat Mega-Donor in Meth Overdose Deaths

Fox News’ Bret Baier, Fox News’ anchor filed a brief item Thursday night about Ed Buck, a wealthy California Democrat megadonor who was sentenced to 30 year imprisonment for two methamphetamine-related overdose deaths in which 2 black men died. It has not been touched by ABC, CBS and NBC broadcasts. Since 2000, Buck has donated $500,000 mostly to Democratic causes.

The front page featured this story Los Angeles TimesOn Friday, however, the news networks did not report the story as usual. This was just like when Buck was sentenced in July 2021. The story can be found online at the news site of the networks. These are far more detailed than Baier’s anodyne short.

Keep in mind the ridiculous notion that “our sole bias is to favor a good tale” as you read the Times story:

Ed Buck, a former fixture in West Hollywood’s politics, was sentenced on Thursday to 30 year imprisonment for drug and sexual crimes including the provision of lethal amounts of methamphetamines to two men.

Buck was a global champion for causes such as fur bans, AIDS awareness, or a donor to Democratic officeholders.

However, he was hiding a terrible secret behind his Laurel Avenue apartment. The wealthy and white Buck lured black men in the lowest stages of their lives, including those who were homeless or addicted to sex, into “party and fun” sessions.

Buck, who was a poor man despite having a great reputation for being a wealthy young man, used drugs to ply the men and sexually assaulted them when they were not conscious. Two cases were a result of him injecting his victims with methamphetamine . 

According to evidence and testimony at Buck’s 2021 trial in which evidence was presented, drug abuse was the root of Buck’s sexual behaviour. This opened up a door into an underground subculture within Los Angeles’ gay community.

Buck moved in a world that was heavily influenced by drugs, and characterized by the power dynamics between the prostitutes who sell sex and those who are often poor. Adam4Adam was a gay hookup website where he advertised that he wanted to “party and have” sessions. This is commonly known as methamphetamine use during sex.

Buck was known to offer extra money for men who “slammed” or gave him the right to inject drugs into their bodies. According to prosecutors, he used a carrot-and-stick strategy where he withheld payment for those who didn’t use enough methamphetamine.

Buck used to treat the men in his cramped apartment as if they were lab rats, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney. Chelsea Norell wrote in a sentencing memo.

The druggist drugged the men until their tolerance was exhausted. He then sexually assaulted and choked them. After being injected with something, one man was unable to move and regained control when Buck turned the chainsaw in front of him. This sent adrenaline coursing through his body.

According to witnesses, Buck used the N word at times when referring to Black men. Buck lost two men to suicide in his apartment. Their bodies were discovered in nearly identical circumstances.
