“Some Loudoun County high school students walked out today protesting the local school board handled the May sexual assault,” reported chief Washington correspondent Mike Emanuel. “The incident involved a male student wearing a skirt attacking a female student in a girl’s bathroom at Stone Bridge High School.”
He also remembered the attempt to cover up by the school boards and how the victims’ family was determined to win justice.
Scott Smith, a Loudoun County father was taken into custody after Scott Ziegler, Loudoun County superintendent said that there were no evidence of sexual assaults in schools restrooms. Emanuel ended his meeting with parents, who had been giving their opinions to the school board as he presented his report. “At tonight’s school board meeting, already numerous parents have called for the resignation of Superintendent Ziegler and members of the school board arguing they are serving themselves and not the children of this community,” he said.

MIKE EMANUEL – Today, some Loudoun County students marched out to protest the way the local school board dealt with the sexual assault in May. In the Stone Bridge High School girls’ bathroom, a male student was seen wearing a skirt and attacked a woman student.
Scott Smith, Loudoun County’s father, was arrested following Scott Ziegler’s statement that there was no evidence of school restroom assaults. Now that a juvenile judge found it happen, the family attorney says, quote, “The Smith family stands stronger than ever in moving forward to ensure that response in the Loudoun County school system are held accountable.”

The National School Boards Association, on September 29, said actions parents were taken at school board meetings were “equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.” The organization later apologized. Viola Garcia, the President of the NSBA was elected to serve as the National Assessment Governing Board. This board oversees student progress across America. The next step was to outline the response of the Justice Department to threats made against school officials by Attorney General Merrick Garland.
