Nets Refuse to Cover Secret Service Spending Thousands with Hunter in Malibu

Also with CBS Mornings and NBC’s Today, ABC’s Good Morning America decided it wouldn’t do its job on Monday of covering the latest layer of the Hunter Biden saga as a new report The Secret Service said that it is spending money “more than $30,000 a month to rent out a swanky Malibu, California, mansion” to protect the First Son.

This was the 1,433 word story that ABCNews.com posted on April 54 at 04:54 Eastern. ABCNews.com!

So, yes, ABC made the decision to ignore the work from three of its own reporters (Josh Margolin, John Santucci, and Soo Rin Kim) in favor of stories such recapping The Grammy’s from the night before, which they combined with CBS and NBC for 19 minutes and 48 seconds of coverage.

The three began to play their part. “Secret Service paying over $30K per month for Malibu mansion to protect Hunter Biden” by explaining the hefty monthly bill has been shelled out “for nearly a year” to house Secret Service agents in order to keep “the president’s controversial son” safe.

The ABC reporters continued (click “expand”):

Sources told ABC News that the agent responsible for President Obama’s protection, along with other high ranking officials in government, selected the property to be as close as possible Biden’s private rented house. According to listings, Biden is currently paying approximately $20,000 per calendar month.

Don Mihalek is a former senior Secret Service agent and now contributes to ABC News. Don said the arrangement is the “cost of doing business” for Secret Service. Additionally, under federal law the agency must have a protective responsibility for the president and the first couple, as well as any others the president designates.

Mihalek stated that “typically, where a Protectee establishes their residence, it is for the Secret Service to find somewhere nearby to rent at market value.” He also noted that properties are being rented out by the Secret Service to protect the residences of President Joe Biden in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach.

Naturally, Hunter’s team never answered ABC’s questions and the Secret Service declined to comment, citing “the need to maintain operational security.”

The liberal media spent over four years losing its mind over any and all matters concerning the protection of President Trump and his family, but they’ve shown an aversion to the same posture with their own team and the Biden family.

ABC went through the profiles of the two houses and note how Hunter’s been able to afford this, but needed a loan to pay back taxes (click “expand”):

Hunter Biden owns a Malibu home that has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. According to the listing, it features an open-floor plan, high ceilings, French doors, a chef’s kitchen, French doors, and vaulted high ceilings. According to the listing, it also boasts a spacious park-like yard with a pool and a spa.

It is situated on 0.7 acres, atop of a hill and has “enchanting” panoramic 180-degree ocean views.

Sources say Biden’s Secret Service team is living next door.

It is situated on a Spanish-inspired estate, which the Secret Service rented. The property also boasts “gorgeous views of the ocean,” as per its listing.

Six bedrooms and six bathrooms are included in the luxurious mansion. It also boasts a taste room, a gym and a tasting area. There is also a swimming pool and spa. The spiral staircase leads to the “castle-like tower” to the master retreat.

Mihalek spoke out about the cost of protecting family members of presidents.

Mihalek stated, “Hunter’s in Malibu. This is not a cheap area.” “And Trump’s kids didn’t also live in low cost areas.”

In contrast, FNC’s America’s Newsroom Faulkner FocusHad mentions for 44 and fifty seconds respectively, thanks to Mike Emanuel (chief Washington correspondent).

Emanuel shared the facts with viewers “ABC News is reporting this morning that the Secret Service is spending more than $30,000 a month to rent out a Malibu, California mansion to be as close as possible to protect Hunter Biden.”

Talk to America’s NewsroomBill Hemmer as co-host. Emanuel observed that such stories are not uncommon. “leads to questions about if that is a wise use of taxpayer funds and questions about how Hunter Biden is affording $20,000 a month in rent.”

And then with Faulkner Focus host Harris Faulkner, Emanuel noted the expensive choice will “only likely add to” the “questions about how Hunter Biden makes his money.”

MIKE EMANUEL – ABC News reported this morning that Hunter Biden’s Secret Service spent more than $30,000 per month renting out a Malibu house in California. The report saying the protective detail selected the property to be as close as possible to the rented mansion of the President’s son where he’s paying an estimated $20,000 a month, according to property listings. According to the Secret Service, the Secret Service does not provide any information about the methods or resources it used in its protection operations. This is due to operational security. However, there are questions over whether that was a prudent use of taxpayer dollars and about Hunter Biden’s ability to afford $20,000 per month in rent.

BILL HEMMER : It’s a sticky wicket.

The report saying the protective detail selected the property to be as close as possible to the rented mansion of the President’s son, where he’s paying an estimated $20,000 a month, according to property listings. The Secret Service tells Fox News: “Due to the need to maintain operational security, the U.S. Secret Service does not comment on the means, methods, or resources used to conduct its protective operations.” Considering there are questions about how Hunter Biden makes his money, $20,000 a month in rent for a Malibu home is only likely to add to those concerns. Harris?

HARRIS FAULKNER (Interview): That’s an interesting point.
