Nets Ignore Pathetic New Low: Biden’s ‘Easter Bunny’ Protects Him from Press

In a desperate new low, the White House on Monday used the Easter Bunny to protect the unpopular Joe Biden from any potentially difficult questions from the press. Biden was not asked about foreign policies by the bunny. It was actually an actual White House staffer dressed in costume. 

This embarrassing and bizarre incident during Easter Egg rolls was completely missed by the network networks from Monday night to Wednesday morning. On cable, Fox News covered the White House using a fake rabbit to play defense. 

The NBC is not like the uninterested ABC and CBS. New York PostThe incident was exposed: 

A staffer dressed in an Easter Bunny costume intervened Monday to stop President Biden from answering a reporter’s question on the White House lawn.

Biden, hosting the first White House Easter Egg Roll of his presidency as the COVID-19 pandemic wanes, began to answer Afghan reporter Nazira Karimi’s inquiry before the bunny showed up and cut him off.

White House Press Officer Meghan Hays appeared to be the one who claimed she was the official disguised, and tweeted a picture of her in the bunny costume with Biden as well as first lady Jill Biden. This photo appears to be taken shortly before or just after the participants took part in this event.

On Monday’s Tonight ShowJimmy Fallon discussed being part of Easter Egg roll. Yet on that night’s show, he made no mention at all of the President needing to be saved by a pretend rabbit. 

This contrasts starkly with the time that Donald Trump was Easter Bunny adjacent in 2019. At the same time that Trump was accompanied by a bunny costume, reporters shouted out impeachment questions on April 22nd 2019. 

23 April 2019, Today’s Peter Alexander recapped: “Earlier in the day, the President brushing off the prospect of impeachment at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll.” 

At the event, his NBC colleague Kristen Welker yelled, “Are you worried about impeachment, Mr. President?” CBS This Morning, Nancy Cordes gushed over the confrontation at the Easter event: “But even as President Trump shrugged off the notion at the White House Easter Egg Roll, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, Jerry Nadler, was issuing yet another subpoena.” 

Biden’s situation is terrible. The Easter Bunny is now joining journalists to try and protect Biden.
