NB on TV: Politico Asks ‘Wait, Is Biden a Better President Than People Thought?’

The Newsmax Show American Agenda Friday afternoon I was invited to talk about the media’s supportive coverage of Hunter Biden, which is rare. Drew Griffin, Kevin Tober and his article were quoted in the CNN interview. Hunter is not given the same level of coverage as Trump’s children.

We also discussed how Politico published a column by John F. Harris that bizarrely tried to claim Biden’s a good president who deserves a B on his report card. Headline was “Wait. Is Biden Better President Than People Think?” They also noted my tweet with a headline different to the one I had tweeted: “Wait! Are We on The Biden Payroll?”

Harris noted that the “progressives”, who wish Biden had been a different president, feel “rising despair” and “even rage” about their prospects of realizing the fundamental changes they feel the nation and world need. But….:

It seems that things are improving. Manchin’s surprise decision to back $370 billion in tax credits to stimulate clean-energy technologies and other progressive environmental priorities came after many Democrats had concluded hope was pointless. Assuming the deal survives further legislative maneuvering in coming days — not a forgone conclusion — it invites a reappraisal of Biden’s leadership. Maybe that isn’t hopeless, either?

Biden continues to follow a long-standing career pattern and is now looking for a way to make his life a bit easier. like the student who is failing his class for most of the semester, then pulls an all-nighter and slips the paper under the professor’s door at 6 a.m. The paper turns out to be quite good. There’s no way he’s getting an A for the term, but He would not get an F from any fair grader. It is possible to get a solid B.

Our inflation rate is on a record high. We’re now technically in a recession. Baloney.

Harris said that Harris “pulling out a major victory three months before the midterms quite rightfully emboldens [him] in not ignoring critics and doubters.” Whilte the Manchin deal is “just a fraction of the ambitious spending called for in Biden’s original “Build Back Better” legislation. The $370 billion on environmental measures still represents the U.S. government’s largest step to date in lowering carbon output. That’s historic.”

Harris admits that many Democrats would like to see someone other than Harris on the 2020 ballot. Next, there was the question of how media covered recession. I describe the media approach as follows:

“It used to be that we defined a recession is two successive quarters of negative growth. But Biden says we shouldn’t do that anymore. So we’re all going to change the definition.”

It’s so bad that Politifact decried it’s false to say that the president is trying to change the definition. That’s how awful the liberal media is trying to get. There goes the whole idea that they’re the fact based, reality based press. This is all a sham.
