NASCAR Driver Brandon Brown Criticized for Embracing ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Meme

After weeks of being unable to find a sponsor due to his name becoming part of the viral “Let’s Go Brandon” meme, NASCAR driver Brandon Brown decided to fight back against the corporate nervous nellies who bowed to cancel culture by embracing the meme.

LGBcoin is his new sponsor. This cryptocurrency is issuing a coin called “Let’s Go Brandon”. As would be expected the media is already slamming Brown for not graciously accepting poverty and the dismantling of his racing team in the interest of political correctness.

A Yahoo!Sports article from Nick Bromberg showed an example of such dissatisfaction. It said that “Days after lamenting the situation, NASCAR’s driver at centre of ‘Let’s go Brandon’ chooses not to accept the viral slogan.”

Brandon Brown has decided to follow a right-wing campaign that was popularized after his win at Talladega last October.

“Right-wing slogan.” Bromberg made it clear from the beginning that he was a political skeptic.

The Xfinity Series driver complained to me less than two weeks back. The New York TimesHe was not able to secure sponsorship due to the meme “Let’s Go Brandon”, which had grown into an inside joke within conservative circles. Brown announced Thursday that LGBCoin would sponsor his car. This cryptocurrency has “no intrinsic worth” and is trying to capitalize on the slogan.

Brown’s announcement of the sponsorship also comes as NASCAR has tried to distance itself from the slogan, which has come to mean “F*** Joe Biden” after fans at Talladega chanted those three words about the president following Brown’s darkness-shortened race win. Brown’s interview with NBC on the track was apparently misunderstood by Brown, and right-leaning internet influencers took the chance to use it as a euphemism.

Oder, the NBC reporter may have pretended that they were just chanting, “Let’s go Brandon!” It was a media-deceit meme that became even more famous.

Brown spoke to the TimesHe had difficulty attracting corporate sponsors interest, despite the fact that his name was now well-known because of its political content.

Brown clearly chooses to become political now and allow his car to speak. It’s difficult to read the Times article again with an objective ear. This is unlikely to have happened.

YouIt was simple to feel sorry for Brown prior to this sponsorship deal. He didn’t appear to gain much from the most memorable moment in his NASCAR career, as right-wing media outlets and candidates made money off merchandise featuring his name. The win was not a moment when companies rushed to sponsor the car.

After Brown’s delayed acceptance of the meme, it is almost impossible to sympathize with Brown. He cannot be both the victim of circumstances and try to make money from them. He’s taking sponsorship to make sure he capitalizes on the slogan before it disappears.

Brown is only the beginning of media attacks. It should be interesting if NASCAR will bow to liberal pressure since that organization has not yet approved the sponsorship.
