According to a leaked Supreme Court opinion, there may be a chance that the 1973 Roe V. Wade decision, which legalized abortion, could actually be reversed. And the angry shriek from all manner of left-leaning media is that leftist favorite cry: “My body my choice.”
Now. No one has done a better job of eviscerating that logic of “my body my choice” than, yes indeed, the self-same left-wing media. Samples? We are glad you asked.

There was then this piece that approvingly accompanied the story The New York Times:
F.D.A. Fully Approves Pfizer-BioNTech’s Vaccine, a First for a Covid-19 Shot
It was anticipated that the move would launch a series of new vaccine mandates by hospitals, schools, and private firms.
The Times noted the various institutions who were happily violating the “my body my choice” gospel:
WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration on Monday granted full approval to Pfizer-BioNTech’s coronavirus vaccine for people 16 and older, a decision that is likely to set off a cascade of vaccine requirements by hospitals, colleges and universities, corporations and other organizations.
Within hours, the Pentagon, CVS, the State University of New York system and the New York City school system, among others, announced that they would enforce mandates they had prepared but made contingent on the F.D.A.’s action.

It is likely that the President Joe Biden’s Thursday announcement to defeat Covid-19 was one of his most notable actions. It is an outlier in many ways in that it is the boldest move we’ve seen to raise the vaccination rate in the United States, setting up a domino effect across the country to expand mandates in local settings.
Which is to say, MSNBC’s columnist was thrilled that the Biden order will “expand mandates” across the country.
Over there at CNN, the network’s Chris Cillizza headlined this:

Reiterate, Washington Post seriously demanded that if a prospective airline passenger stands up for “my body my choice” then they should in fact be placed on a “national no-fly list.”
There’s tons more examples of this media obsession supporting — make that demanding — mandates for vaccines and masks.
And that’s it. The left-leaning media was out there weekly if not daily or hourly for almost two years quite effectively convincing millions of Americans that to say “my body my choice” was not only selfish and morally wrong it was a threat to human lives.
And it’s safe to say that message has been received.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but all those millions of Americans who oppose abortion call themselves, yes indeed, “pro-life.” Which is exactly what all those liberal media types are saying when they demand vaccine and mask mandates. It saves lives, so who is against saving lives?
Irony in this case is so strong that it would require a chain saw just to slice through.
So now someone inside the Court — one suspects an outraged liberal clerk but who knows — has chosen to leak a draft of Justice Samuel Alito’s opinion that would, with five if not six Justices in support, finally overrule the Roe doctrine of “my body my choice.”
But if that is in fact what happens, the lefty media must shoulder its share of responsibility for the overturning of Roe V. Wade.
They are the lefty media The New York Times, The Washington Post, New York Magazine, MSNBC, CNN and more — that has spent the last two years drilling into the heads of Americans that they have no right to say “my body my choice” when it comes to mandates for vaccines and masks. And that, in fact, for Americans to insist on “my body my choice” is an outrageous breach of both the public health and simple basic consideration for the lives of their fellow Americans.
Whatever else this leak out of the Supreme Court shows, it is unintentional proof that the doctrine of “my body my choice” has been seriously damaged.
The media leftists and their support have damaged our reputation.
