MSNBC’s Capehart Loves Howard Dean Scolding Dems For Failing to Fight ‘Neo-Fascist’ Republicans

Howard Dean wasn’t quite ready to unleash his famous scream but he was able to express some anger on Jonathan Capehart’s MSNBC. It was interesting to note that most of the anger directed at Democrats! Although—true to Democrat form—Dean did call Republicans “neo-fascists” [singling out Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley] he said that there were similarities between Trump and Hitler.

Dean responded to Capehart’s question about whether Biden and Democrats, given their “really terrible” polling results, are “doomed” in 2022 or beyond.

An angry Dean responded:

Yes, of course. The problem is here. Democrats act like wimps.Democratic voters make me impatient being discouraged. Don’t be discouraged. Keep the Democratic Majorities free from the neofascists of the Republican side, Ted Cruz and Josh HawleyYou are the one responsible.

This really mirrors the events in Germany during World War II, when Hitler came to power. This is also what happened in Germany between the wars, when Hitler took power. Although there are similarities, I do not want to make Trump a Hitler. But the truth is, voters have to not be apathetic. It was apathy as much as anti-Semitism that led to the Holocaust.

Capehart adored Dean’s rant: “I wish I had my church organ just now for Chairman Dean, because he is saying exactly what I’m thinking.”

This NewsBuster was jarred by Dean’s claim that anti-Semitism wasn’t the single most important cause of the Holocaust.

Note: by saying he wished he had his “church organ,” Capehart was expressing his desire to play some preaching chords to underline and show his support for Dean’s statement.

MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart seconding Howard Dean saying that Democrats need to fight “neo-fascist” Republicans, and seeing similarities between Hitler and Trump, was sponsored by Procter & Gamble, maker of Olay, Hyundai, Liberty Mutual, Oscar Mayer, and Sandals.

Here’s the transcript.

MSNBC’s The Sunday Show

JONATHAN CAPEHART: The president’s poll numbers: really bad! Are they so bad that he can’t turn it around, and are they so bad that the Democrats are doomed in the midterm elections?

HOWARD DEAN: No, of course not. Here’s the problem. The Democrats are being wimps. I am impatient with Democratic voters being discouraged. This is your country! If you don’t want to fight for it, that’s your business. But if you don’t get out there and keep the Democratic majorities from these neo-fascists on the Republican side like Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, that’s not on the Republicans, that’s on you!

So, this really parallels what happened in Germany in between the wars, when Hitler took power. And I don’t want to compare Trump to Hitler, although there are some similarities. The truth is that voters must not remain apathetic. Holocaust was not only caused by anti-Semitism, but also by apathy. This is also what happened in Germany between the wars, when Hitler took power. people just turned a blind eye.

Go out and get involved! You should vote if this country is important to you. Then, Don’t feel guilty for not voting. Some crackpots in the presidency“Who wants to remove you from your vote?”

JONATHAN CAPEHART It would be a great honor to present Chairman Dean with my organ from the church. Because he, He is exactly saying what I am thinking. It’s simple: Get outside! Don’t let the excitement get in your way! The fate of our democracy depends on it!
