The old saying goes that a conservative can be a libertarian who has been mugged.
Update: What is the radical leftist from Defund Police, who would like people to threaten her with detention without bail?
MSNBC Sunday Show With Jonathan CapehartRep. Pramila Jayapal spoke out about the man who yelled outside Pramila’s home and was later arrested for threat to kill her. Jason Rantz stated that she is the victim of the systems she wants to end.
Jayapal said Capehart was “chilled” and Jayapal “not OK”. Jayapal has since been released from prison pending further investigations.
Capehart didn’t mention Jayapal was a, as expected. criticCash bail and supported the defunding of the police. She told her supporters that they should “take the streets” to fight for abortion and to “fight tooth-and-nine.”
Rantz never mentions that Jayapal was among the 27 Progressives who voted against a bill to increase security for Supreme Court justices’ immediate family members. Her gratitude for her support at this time was not affected by the assassination plot to kill Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Jayapal shared this information with Capehart
“I am confident that the Capitol Police, the Seattle Police Department, and the Prosecutor Office will all treat my safety seriously.”
That’s fine. Jayapal should take the safety and security of Americans seriously, even though they don’t have the same privileges as high-ranking politicians. Jayapal made the predictable pitch for increased gun control. He said, ““We must take the tools that racism, white supremacists, and extremists are using. Why did she exclude the wielders of the “tools” of urban violence, who account for inordinately commit more homicides every year—going back way before Trump—than the white supremacists do?
Capehart then brought on former “Anonymous” author and Never Trumper, Miles Taylor. He advised that“We’re in the red zone of potential assassinations.”
Taylor provided proof by citing,“threats to American governors. American Members of Congress. People called for the assassination of Vice President Donald Trump on January 6, 2008.
Is there something you don’t see on Taylor’s wish list? Assassination of Kavanaugh.
How Republican is Taylor now? His contribution to Obama’s campaign for 2008 was acknowledged by Taylor, long before Trump’s time.
Notice: Taylor didn’t mention Kavanaugh, but Capehart did so at the end of the program. Capehart, however, made another potentially deadly error. Capehart claimed that he wasn’t trying to compromise Jayapal’s security.Capehart inquired if Capehart was at home right now, or if she is elsewhere.Capehart would not want to disclose her location, especially considering that the suspect may still be at large.
Capehart and Jayapal discussing the threats against her without mentioning her hypocrisy on bail and security for judges was supported in part by Progressive, Hyundai, and Procter & Gamble, maker of Bounty.

Jonathan Capehart on Sunday’s Show
7/17/22
10:00 am EDTJONATHAN CAPEHART : A man was arrested by Seattle police on July 9th with a weapon and an armed man. He was located outside Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal’s house. The Seattle Times reports that a neighbor heard the man shout “Go back to India!” I will kill you. Another reported that Jayapal was seen driving past Jayapal’s home three times while shouting profanities.
Assisting me is Congresswoman Pramila Jaipal, Chair of the Progressive Caucus. We are very grateful to Congressman Jayapal that you have returned to Sunday’s Show. It is a terrible news, I’m sorry. How are you?
PRAMILA JAYAPAL : Jonathan, I am so grateful. This is my first talk on this topic, and it’s a pleasure to have you here to discuss not only the events that happened, but also how they relate to the very thing you just started. But I’m not okay. It’s okay. You know what? This is scary for me as well as my family.
. . .
CAPEHART: Congresswoman, It is quite chilling to learn that the same stalker has been following you for several months. On Wednesday, the man was released. Why couldn’t they hold him?
JAYAPAL: They only have 72 hours to file charges after an arrest. And I am firmly, Maybe because it is what I have to believe, I think he will be charged by the prosecutors. This would be terrible and terrible. He would not only be an issue to me, but to elected officials all across the country.
. . .
CAPEHART (Congresswoman): I have one more question before you let me go. Consider everything you just said and that he was released. I am not trying get you to compromise any security. Are you really at home, or are you going elsewhere? Are you at home? Or are you going somewhere else?
JAYAPAL, I’m away from home. While I’m on vacation, I will be visiting D.C. this week. However, when I return home I am confident that the Capitol Police, Seattle’s police and the Prosecutor Office will take my safety very seriously. It is my intention to. But I am hopeful that the charges against you will soon be filed. Jonathan, at the end of it all, we must take away the tools that white supremacists and racists use.
As Dr. King stated, morality cannot be controlled, but behavior can. We must do this, it is not easy for anyone to obtain guns or for someone to make violent threats against others, which is all part of the country’s evolution.
CAPEHART: Right, right.
JAYAPAL – 6 years since Donald Trump’s death.
CAPEHART: I want to bring in Miles Taylor, former chief of staff of the Department of Homeland Security, and co-founder and executive director of the Renew America Movement. Miles, we appreciate your attendance at the Sunday Show. Only, what was your reaction from Congressman Jayapl to what you just heard?
MILES TAYLOR (English): The segment started with her saying “It’s okay” and she didn’t mean it. That’s probably what I believe the nation could be saying at this moment.
We’re lucky to not have experienced one of these tragic episodes. But it’s not okay. This is not OK. Let me be clear, we are not okay. When it comes to violence against political opponents, the country is seeing red.
It is very frightening to look at the data and see all of these indicators. Recently, I spoke to many experts who are not political and they were very concerned. This is the area that could be used to assassinate politicians.
It sounds extravagant. This is not the case.Jonathan has seen threats made against American governors in the last two years. American Members of Congress. People called for the assassination of Vice President Donald Trump on January 6, 2008.
Right now, I am worried that it is a time bomb. For most matters, however, I am not a proponent of inevitability. When it comes to national safety, there are many things that I believe we can choose and mitigate. However, I believe we’ve moved beyond the time when we can dial this down and avoid, at minimum, low-level sustained political violence. This is a huge concern for national safety.
