MSNBC’s Alcindor: Fox News Is ‘The Fringe Wing of the GOP’

On Tuesday, Nicolle Wallace’s MSNBC Show featured a triple-header full of liberal hypocrisy. First up, Yamiche Alcindor—apparently devoid of the slightest shred of self-awareness—said:

Fox NewsAlthough it is supposed to be a news channel on cable, it was actually a network of independent journalists. “It is kind of like this fringe wing” of the GOP.”

Do we need to remind Alcindor of her bias?

This, from a person who a year ago honored Martin Luther King as a model, as someone who wanted radical change.” After Maxine Waters made threats to jurors, Rep. Maxine Waters was rebuffed by the White House.

Alcindor, and others like her, are not a fringe element of the Democrat party. They play a key role in the party’s efforts to secure and keep power for a more radical base.

Next up in the obtuse-liberal-hypocrisy hit parade: Alcindor’s observation came during a discussion of the news that Adam Schiff has confirmed that The January 6th Committee has asked Sean Hannity for “voluntary cooperation”. Concerning his communication with the White House, which began on January 6th.

Wallace asked New York Times Katie Benner asked Katie Benner, reporter, what her thoughts were about the chances that Hannity would cooperate.

Benner stated that Trump may retaliate by threatening to harm Hannity at Fox, and Hannity’s viewers. “There’s no reason to him not testify.”

Katie is obviously not serious. Now imagine it is 2023. The Republicans are the House majority. The committee creates a special committee that investigates Democrat wrongdoing and invites Benner, Wallace and Alcindor “voluntarily to cooperate”, by sharing communications with the Biden White House.

Think of the outraged shouts from these three people, as well as the rest of the liberal media, at the perceived “threat to democracies” this request represents. We’d be treated to endless lectures by supposedly non-partisan professors pontificating on the First Amendment and the independence of press.

Wallace spoke of Sean Hannity in a last bit of ironic cluelessness:

The right word is not what I am looking for,But he once supported the Bush-Cheney worldview. One of his closest hosts was the Bush White House. He knows that I’m his communications director. He [pauses]He adjusts to adapt and now sees things differently. Donald Trump is the way he does it.”

Wallace implicitly accused Hannity, by claiming she didn’t “know the right word”, and her pause before decribing Hannity as one who “adapts” her views to her opinions. What about Wallace shape-shifting? Hannity may have moved along with the Republican mainstream, from Bush to Trump.

As she herself mentioned, Wallace used to be W’s communications director. Later, she became one of MSM’s most ferocious and down-the-line liberals. Perhaps she thought about it before casting aside Hannity’s ire.

The triple-header of liberal hypocrisy on Nicolle Wallace’s MSNBC show was sponsored in part by TD Ameritrade and Carfax.

NICOLLE WALKACE: Axios has reported that Congressman Adam Schiff confirmed the reporting. One Sean Hannity has been invited by the select committee on January 6, to visit and chat with the committeeWhat he might or may not be aware.

His, and I believe his text message were read by Liz Cheney. The data dump from Mark Meadows that was sent to them before Cheney defied subpoenas, was taken into criminal contempt of Congress. Trump’s family members did provide him with text messages from Fox News anchors.

One of the Fox NewsAnchors were Sean Hannity and Congressman Adam Schiff, who confirmed that Sean Hannity would be willing to meet with the committee.

Yamiche and the other people that are closely connected to Donald Trump that they are interested, have begun to engage, is getting closer and closer.

YAMICHE ALCIINDOR: This is absolutely true. It’s clear that the committee is increasing in its work. They are trying to get to know Trump and his inner circle, ex-President Trump.

Sean Hannity, anyone familiar with former President Trump knows that he’s someone who works in Trump’s circle. Both were regularly speaking. He really took the president’s advice.

This is also, in some aspects, a reminder to remind us thatFox News may be considered a cable-news channel but is it really? They have been more influential than elected officials who tried to listen to Trump, or even the host of the show, particularly the late-night opinions hosts.

WALLACE. Sean Hannity isn’t Steve Bannon. Steve Bannon is Donald Trump’s entire political identity. It was all gone before. There won’t be anything after.Sean Hannity is I don’t think the right term, but he once supported the Bush-Cheney worldview. One of his closest hosts was the Bush White House. Because I was his communications director, I understand this. He used to see the world in that manner.

He [pause]He is a good example of adapting and now sees things differently. Donald Trump sees the world differently. However, he is not Tucker Carlson. Laura Ingraham is not his wife. Trumplandia has yet to be his home.

UndWhat do you believe the chances are for that? he comes and— he’s done nothing wrong, he doesn’t think Donald Trump did anything wrong—He comes to the committee and speaks with them.

KATIE Benner: I believe it speaks volumes about Donald Trump’s power perception if Hannity does not wish to appear before the committee. The idea that Donald Trump might retaliate is also a possibility. This could affect Hannity’s standing at Fox. He could lose his popularity among his viewers and his relationship with his colleagues. You might also miss the point. He has no excuse to not testify.
