Good!
Republican subpoenas, investigations: Bad!
This, in short, is Morning JoeHere’s a typical Democrat Party take on today.
“MSNBC Republican” Elise Jordan led the charge, demanding that Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland “get in the game,” and “fight” by charging Republican Members of Congress with contempt for failing to respond to subpoenas from the Democrat-stacked January 6th committee.
This underlines that (a) the Democrats stacked the January 6 as a way to defeat Republicans in the midterms and in 2024 and (b) the Democrats expect their Attorney General to be a partisan player, not some horribly independent “judge” type when they need to win.
The partisanship boiled over when Jordan declared that all this January 6 campaigning would be “legitimate,” while any Republican attempt to reverse the “accountability” machine next year would be just terrible!
Mike Barnicle said that Republicans would retake control of the House majority in January if they are victorious. “a special committee on revenge.”
Jonathan Lemire warned that if Republicans are in charge, “they’re going to investigate—Get ready to hear the phrase “Hunter Biden”Lemire lamented that it was “the people’s problem” and would not get the job done.
However, why is Hunter Biden being investigated as “revenge” or “legitimate?” Ultimately, Hunter would not be the focus of such investigations, but rather whether Hunter was funneling money to “The Big Guy!”
Notable: Jonathan Lemire is now the Democrat whisperer. He reflected on Democrat thinking and said that if Republicans used their majority to launch investigations they would be frustrated by the American people. This could provide President Biden with a counter for his second term and possibly even his reelection.
Morning Joe’s dialogue on GOP “revenge” was sponsored in part by Walgreens and Liberty Mutual.

6:07 am ETJACQUELINE ALMARY: If the House committee determines that the members of the House are going to treat them in contempt because they have not cooperated with subpoenas and this seems likely to be true, the full House will vote. The Department of Justice will then have to take that decision. The Department of Justice will then have to decide if they are going to prosecute the referrals.
Additionally, we are aware that Attorney General Merrick Grland is currently referring important cases, such as the contempt referrals for Mark Meadows, Peter Navarro and Dan Scavino. This has been hanging around for a while.
So, Merrick Garland almost has a dozen decisions to make if the House makes these referrals. Some of them are very politically charged.
. . .
MIKE BARNICLE This nearly guarantees that the Republicans will establish a committee to investigate revenge if they win control of Congress on January 2.As little as was done in this year’s Congress session, nothing is going to be done next year.
WILLIEGEIST: Jon, they have already stated that, don’t they? Okay. What if you wanted to do it in this manner? Then, you all get subpoenaed by January when we take over the House.
JONATHAN LEMIRE – It’s January 6. The investigation also dates back at some of the Trump-era investigations by the Democrat controlled House. Republicans are clear in their commitment to doing the same. The Republicans are already discussing impeachment proceedings regarding certain cabinet members.
They are going to investigate. Be prepared for “Hunter biden”There will be at most a lot of probes. They’ll do this, I guess. It’s not going to be easy for the people.
DemocratsHowever, there is a silver lining to their problems. They believe that the House would be flipped to Republicans if it were to happen. [sic]If they launched all of these investigations, Americans would be frustrated and could provide President Biden with an excuse.both the second and third years, as well as his reelection.
ELISE JORDAN It would — That is what the president said? This is absurd.
Merrick Garland, what are you waiting for? Let’s get on board! Fight! He is going to be the one on the losing side of power. Republicans will then sit back and say, “Oh, no legislating, because it would look very political” if they did all the investigations.
You can do it.Subpoenas are out there. It is absurd that the sitting members of Congress are not interested enough in responding and actually reporting and speaking, just as you and I are terrified to go to jury duty. They have to continue with their daily business.
