A California mother is suing the LAUSD after she says her 13-year-old son was given the COVID-19 vaccine in exchange for pizza without the mother’s consent.
As RedState’s Mike Miller reported, the 13-year-old attended the Barack Obama Global Prep Academy in South Los Angeles. After receiving the COVID-19 vaccination at school, the teenager returned home with his vaccine card.
Maribel Duarte said that the teenage’s mother was Maribel Duarte.
“The lady that gave him the shot and signed the paper told my son…‘Please don’t say anything. I don’t want to get in trouble.’”
So the lady knew she was wrong to give the teen a vaccine without the mother’s consent, yet gave it to him anyway.
Duarte continued:
““It hurt to know he got a shot without my permission … He has problems with asthma and allergy problems.”
She added that she is not opposed to the COVID-19 vaccine, but because of her son’s asthma and allergy problems, she decided to not give him the vaccine.
Her son has a bleeding disorder and she said this is the reason the doctor didn’t recommend that he get the COVID-19 vaccination.
Duarte’s attorney Nicole Pearson said.
“This is not a conspiracy theory. This is not an anti-vax case … This is about parental rights (and) about having the ability to protect your children.”
Pearson attempted several times to reach out to the LAUSD, but has not been successful.
LAUSD has been sued by the mother over her foolish decision to immunize her son, 13, without consent. During a news conference on Wednesday, the teenager’s mother said her son is suffering from side effects due to the vaccine. Every person reacts differently to the shot, that’s why it should be an individual choice, especially if the person is a minor.
Duarte stated:
“He’s lacking of breath, doesn’t sleep well, he doesn’t do exercise the way he did. He is not normal to me.”
Duarte said that the 13-year old was instructed to sign his name in order to receive the shot.
LAUSD issued this statement
“Los Angeles Unified does not typically comment on threatened, pending or ongoing litigation matters.”
It should make parents mad across the country. No school or district should be administering vaccines — of any nature — without parental consent. LAUSD is an example of a school district that could do it.
