Everyone is thankful it’s Friday—except for the fact that it’s still a weekday, which means MSNBC’s Morning Joe The show is live. The way Joe Scarborough and crew made viewers regret turning on their TVs again was by ripping into Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), just because they wanted to find an excuse to rant about the GOP.
This time, they were upset at DeSantis for suspending one of Florida’s state prosecutors, Andrew Warren of Hillsborough County, a Democrat. Co-host Mika Brzezinski first wanted to make the point that he was “twice elected” by the people of Florida, and said DeSantis’s reason for the suspension was because he “vowed not to enforce the state’s laws limiting abortion or laws against gender-affirming care for trans minors.”
Since Warren had “vowed” to not follow ethical laws that protect unborn children from being killed and protect confused and impressionable children from groomers, it is safe to say that DeSantis had good reasons for the suspension.
In reaction to separate clips of DeSantis and Warren giving their respective statements, Joe Scarborough exclaimed to his wife Brzezinski, “I mean Mika, Ron DeSantis is such a dope. He didn’t even wait for any action to take place.”
Warren even admitted to allowing dangerous individuals back on the streets. God only knows what they could do to innocents.
So, Scarborough’s chief complaint was that DeSantis should have waited until Warren fully abdicated his duty to Floridians. Instead, DeSantis chose to intervene before Floridians were let down by a politician who wanted his way into the system.
Scarborough continued his useless tirade against DeSantis, “he is doing the same thing that these freaks and insurrectionists and weirdos are doing.” And referred to his pro-life stance as “putting the lives of 10-year-old girls who have been raped at risk,” and calling for forced births.
Furthermore, Scarborough ranted about him “going to war with Mickey Mouse, going to war with the Tampa Bay Rays,” and with Florida voters, catering to 20 percent of voters.
What’s outrageous is how up-in-arms Scarborough seemed, he was acting like DeSantis completely fired Warren, which he did not. Brzezinski even admitted what happened with Warren was “technically a suspension” and utilized “a clause in the state’s constitution.”
Elle continued to quote “The…” Tampa Bay Times’ reaction, which ignored the legality of the move and called it “politically craven, legally suspect, suspiciously timed, and odorously soaked in autocracy, partisanship, and bad faith.”
Claiming she was speaking “just the truth,” Brzezinski then took a jab at the GOP, calling their values “repugnant”, and that they “stand for rapists, stand for racists,” along with “election deniers.”
The entire segment is a reminder of how puppet-like MSNBC can be for leftists, which most viewers are finding second-hand embarrassing.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: I just want to put some detail on the story of Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis suspending one of the state’s top prosecutors. Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren, a twice-elected Democrat in the Tampa Bay area, had vowed not to enforce the state’s laws limiting abortion or laws against gender-affirming care for trans minors. Here’s what both men had to say yesterday.

GOV. RON DESANTIS (R-FL): We are not going to allow this pathogen that’s been around the country of ignoring the law, we are not going to let that get a foothold here in the state of Florida. We are going to make sure that our laws are enforced and that no individual prosecutor puts himself above law.

ANDREW WARREN (D-HILLSBOROUGH CO. STATE ATTY): I was shocked at the blatant violation of one of the most fundamental principles of our democracy, that the people, the voters get to elect elected officials. I’ve been elected twice to serve as State Attorney, and I served as State Attorney and have done it well. Crime is down, we’re protecting people’s rights, we have fought so hard for public safety and fairness and justice. If the Governor thinks he can do a better job, then he should run for state attorney, not president.

JOE SCARBOROUGH : What a dope. I mean Mika, Ron DeSantis is such a dope. He didn’t even wait for any action to take place. And he is doing the same thing that these freaks and insurrectionists and weirdos are doing, that are putting the lives of 10-year-old girls who have been raped at risk. Who are saying that uncle that raped 14-year-old girls, that is a perfect example of why they have to force the 14-year-old to have the baby. They’re playing—I used to say for the 33 percent. So, Ron DeSantis is doing all of this crazy stuff in a state that, not so long ago, was a swing state, and he is doing it, hurting Florida, going to war with Mickey Mouse, going to war with the Tampa Bay Rays, going to war with the voters of the state of Florida, nullifying their votes for a guy who has been elected twice now, all to appeal to, like, 20 percent of Americans who may be voting in Republican primaries in presidential elections. It’s crazy!
BRZEZINSKI: While it’s technically a suspension, the Tampa Bay Times points out that DeSantis has essentially fired Warren through a clause in the state’s constitution. As his replacement, the governor already appointed a last-year’s judge.
The editorial board at the Tampa Bay Times categorized DeSantis’s actions as “politically craven, legally suspect, suspiciously timed, and odorously soaked in autocracy, partisanship, and bad faith. In other words, completely in keeping with this governor’s behavior.” It continues: “The governor’s ten-page order is a political smear job full of what-ifs and supposition that would be laughed out of court.
Jonathan Lemire: You know that this pull-out is now at 20,000 feet. I can say it without exaggeration. This is the truth. Republicans’ core values, they’re repugnant. They stand for rapists, stand for racists, Viktor Orban coming to CPAC, to name a few, insurrectionists and election deniers. Meanwhile, Democrats are working on passing the Inflation Reduction Act.
JONATHAN LEMIRE: Yeah, Governor DeSantis—first of all, pretty good writing in the editorial. But Governor DeSantis here clearly playing as to the right as he can for, as Joe pointed out, a smaller and smaller portion of the electorate, but probably enough to win in Florida re-election comfortably. And He’s making a bet that this can, hot take, the Trump base, were Trump not to run, and position himself in 2024.
