A trial lawyer should have interviewed every witness before taking him to court. This would ensure that they know everything the witness will say. Either they were extremely inept or, in the post-George Floyd political environment, succumbed under pressure to charge Rittenhouse, despite knowing this fatal flaw.
It was painful, however, for them to do this. The Morning JoeCrew had to accept the undisputed fact that Grosskreutz’s confession was devastating for the prosecution.
Gabe Gutierrez, a reporter, stated that “especially during cross examination, the witnesses bolstered Rittenhouse’s claim of self-defense.”
Mika Brzezinski followed, who stated that Rittenhouse seems to “appears” to have a valid claim to self-defense with the support of “evidence.”
MSNBC legal analyst Tali Farhadian Weinstein—a former Obama Justice Department lawyer—agreed: “He’s got some good facts on his side . . . “I think the prosecution faces some serious challenges.”Let me know!
Willie Geist then drove a nail into the coffin. “if you’re the prosecutor, sitting and listening to that testimony, does your case start to fall apart a little bit?” Yes. Yes, just like how the Titanic “a bit” sank when it struck that iceberg.
Mika, Mika’s husband and cohost was the bitter-ender who is still trying to prove Rittenhouse wrong. Unfortunately for Rittenhouse, however,Joe Scarborough had a Joe Biden moment. Literally, he was unable to pick up the pieces.
Scarborough claimed that Rittenhouse had killed Joseph Rosenbaum as he laid on the floor.
“A man unarmed who is perpendicular – wait, no. Non perpendicular. Let’s see. Ja, yeah!The man was in danger of falling. Perpendicular“
The legal analyst Weinstein was forced to help the poor and confused Joe. “horizontal.”
Defense attorneys will often request a directed verdict at the conclusion of a trial. This is when they request that the judge issue a verdict in innocent because of overwhelming evidence. These motions are often denied. In this instance, however, it would not be surprising for the motion to be granted.

MIKA: Well, that’s exactly where I was going to go with my next question. It seems that this is an effective claim, especially when you consider the survivor of three of those who were killed. That’s just one part of the trial we show on TV. So clearly, there’s much more context to explain, but they seem to be headed in that direction in a big way and have evidence to back it up!
WEINSTEIN? Yes. He’s got some good facts on his side. One survivor claims that Rittenhouse did indeed point his gun at him. There is also evidence that Rosenbaum ran toward Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse, of course, will claim that he was running towards my gun.

WILLIEGEIST: The witness confirmed that I had unholstered my concealed weapon. Kyle Rittenhouse was confronted by me while I held it in one hand. So if you’re the prosecutor, sitting and listening to that testimony, does your case start to fall apart a little bit because of what he just said?
WEINSTEIN: Well, first of all, he’s charged separately for each of the people that he shot at.
Right.
WEINSTEIN is aware that some cases might be more difficult than others. The prosecution faces some very difficult challenges, however.

JOE SCARBOROUGH And in the case of Rosenbaum, an unarmed man who is, quote, perpendicular – wait, no. But not perpendicular. Let’s see. Yes, he was perpendicular or falling.
WEINSTEIN Horizontal right.
SCARBOROUGH is horizontal, not perpendicular. The fatal shots were made while he was horizontal.
