On Monday night we were informed of the horrifying news that many migrants had been found dead inside a trailer-trailer in Texas near San Antonio. The death toll was now at fifty. More than twelve others were transported to the hospital in heat stroke, exhaustion or dehydration.
There’s no way to look at this other than as an outgrowth of the out-of-control border situation, spurred by the feckless policies of the Biden administration. A reality that Texas Governor Greg Abbott rightly called out, noting the deaths show “the deadly consequences of (Biden’s) refusal to enforce the law.”
Texas finds at least 42 bodies in truck transporting migrants.
These are Biden’s deaths.

In response, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre remarked that “The fact of the matter is the border is closed.”
No matter how you slice it, that’s just flat-out wrong. Under no reasonable definition has the US/Mexico border ever been closed – but it’s a heck of a lot more open now than it was even two years ago.
It is important to let go of their penchant for fast-paced play and embrace the truth. It is the truth of the matter the Biden Administration can’t seem to find its way out of a paper bag. The question is whether that’s a matter of institutional incompetence…or by design.
