Mob Trashes Venue After the ‘Cowboy’s’ Show Is Canceled – Opinion

A Kid Rock fan who is disowned will bring down hell. That’s a lesson learned this weekend at a North Dakota fairgrounds.

Fans of the rowdy rocker had gathered for Friday’s sold-out show. Unfortunately, the weather conditions at North Dakota State Fair were not conducive to southern rock/rap.

And though opening act Night Ranger sang “Sister Christian,” the crowd wasn’t in much of a Christian mood. That’s a safe bet, given what happened next.

From TMZ

[A] storm was brewing on the outskirts of town with some wind and lightning, but no rain, which kept delaying KR’s show.

By the time 11 o’clock rolled around, lots of folks in the 18,000-strong audience were pretty drunk … and [angry]Because it was as if all the trouble had passed.

An officer from the Ward County Sheriff’s Department then walked up to the mic and announced the concert was canceled.

According to people, the public was not happy with the news.

In…footage…audience members could be seen hurling bottles at the stage, and one was tackled after he climbed onto the platform. Officers later escorted him in handcuffs across the parking area.

The audience’s raucous response should come as no surprise. Kid Rock’s fanbase isn’t known for being demure. The artist seems of the “Kiss my [foot]” sort.

You may recall last November’s single, “Don’t Tell Me How to Live“:

You snowflakes, here’s a newsflash

Ain’t nobody gonna tell me how to live

The nation of [wimps] is our next generation

They have minions, and they set their agendas.

Each opinion is offended by millennials

However, this Amendment One rings true

And if it don’t descend, [disrespected person]Then, you can see Number Two

I’m the last of a few still screaming, “[Forget] you”

Ain’t nobody gonna tell me how to live

The rocker is putting his money where it’s at: Kid declined to perform in January venues that required proof of vaccination.

A video that he uploaded at the time

“There’s been a lot of talk about vaccine mandates and venues… … [I]f there are any, they’re going to be gone by the time we get to your city. If they’re not, trust me — you don’t have to worry. You’ll be getting your money back. Because I won’t be showing up either. If you think I’m going to sit out there and sing ‘Don’t Tell Me How to Live,’ and ‘We the People’ while people are holding up their [doggone]Wearing masks and vaccination cards are that [stuff] ain’t happening.”

This was found somewhere in that non-compliance attitude:

Kid Rock fans aren’t sheeple, and they were ready to see the G.O.A.T. When that didn’t happen, they raised up as rams.

The man then tweeted his dismay:

“So [mad] we could not play for a sold-out crowd tonight in Minot… I know it [stinks]We can all control Mother Nature, however. Please be safe leaving, and take care of each other.”

The night was chaotic. But expect no less when you tell the era’s most rebellious concertgoers they’ve waited all night for nothing. After all, they’re cowboys (and cowgirls), baby…
