It’s difficult to reach the left of Al Gore when it comes global warmingism. ABC’s Jonathan Karl pulled off this dubious feat with Gore as his guest Sunday morning. This Week
Karl opened by giving Gore a warm introduction. He claimed that Gore was scaremongering. An Inconvenient TruthFilm is “credited for raising awareness worldwide about climate change threats and intensifying extreme weather events.”
Actually, An Inconvenient TruthGore’s climate campaign and a number of other people have been “credited with” being incorrect on numerous of their claims.
Karl quickly wondered why Biden had not declared yet a national climate-change emergency. Gore asked Gore if it was the right time for Biden. Perhaps not wanting to step on Ol’ Joe’s toes, Gore dodged the question, saying:
“I will leave it up to others to sort out the pros and con of an emergency declaration.”
A bit later, Karl fretted that Biden’s moves to lower gas prices By asking the Saudis for more production and by seeking to improve domestic production They “counterproductive” in the context of climate change.
Gore said that Biden was not the one he wanted to be criticised.
We must not confuse the short-term with the long-term. that’s different from investing billions in new fossil fuel infrastructure and new oil and gas drilling.”
Gore looked to have given Biden an easy pass with his recent moves as long as he didn’t do anything that would allow for increased production in the longer term.
So, congrats Jonathan: full climate-virtue-signaling points for managing to be even more radical than Greta Thunberg’s spirit godfather: Al Gore!
Note: Karl couldn’t induce Gore to knock Biden for not being radical enough on the environment. Gore offered some familiar alarmist nonsense. He did say that he had a point. declared that unless his global-economy-killing demands were obeyed, nothing less than “the survival of our civilization” would be threatened!
And check out Gore’s facial expressions, which veered between frenzy, and the look of a man smelling something unpleasant in the studio.
Can any conservative look at Al Gore’s climate spiel and not think of Rush Limbaugh’s Algore Countdown To Armageddon?

JONATHAN KARL – Former Vice President Al Gore discusses rising CO2 levels, in his documentary. An Inconvenient TruthThe first appearance of ‘, was over 16 years ago. This film helped raise awareness around the hazards of climate change. In the decades since, extreme weather has become more common.
. . .
AL GORE: We must stop using the atmosphere as an open sewer and stop heat-trapping emissions. This will only make things worse. There will be more deaths and Our civilization’s survival is in jeopardy.
. . .
KARL An Inconvenient Truth. We have heard backVice President Biden. Although he called climate change an immediate emergency, he called it a clear threat. However, he However, it has not yet declared a national crisis. You don’t seem to get it. Do you think it is time that the president declares climate change a national emergency
GORE: Mother Nature already declares it a worldwide emergency. It’s up to you to decide what an emergency declaration means.
. . .
KARL : He’s facing a major challenge. The real issue in the midterms will be rising gas prices. This is partly due to the war with Ukraine. And now he is gone.He has encouraged Saudi Arabia to increase their oil production. The United States should be able to increase its offshore oil drilling.
It’s obvious why he is doing it. But they are desperate to lower gas prices. This isn’t counterproductive for the climate agenda.
GORE: It is important to distinguish between the short and long-term. It’s not the same as investing billions into new fossil fuel infrastructure, new oil drilling and new gas production that will do little to alleviate current crises or increase gasoline prices. But would guarantee increased emissions in the years ahead.
