Meet the Precious Patriot Who Chose to Make Birthday Parties Great Again! – Opinion

Kimberly Smith of Colorado hosted her daughter Paisley’s 10th birthday party on August 20. Unmistakable theme was the party’s birthday: Donald J. Trump

Smith posted party photos in a private Facebook group of Trump 2024 supporters with the caption, “My daughter begged for a Donald J. Trump birthday. This is America. Freedom, respect, morals, and hard work.” The post has received over 1,000 “likes” and hundreds of positive comments to date. I reached out to Smith, telling her I was interested in featuring the story at RedState, eventually asking how she felt about using her daughter’s name or leaving Paisley anonymous. RedState was informed by Smith.

The one thing Paisley has taught me is that we can’t shy away or be embarrassed of our beliefs and things we stand for. So being named isn’t a problem at all.

Between Paisley being insistent and “begging” for the Trump birthday theme, and her mother taking lessions from her young daughter in standing firm in her beliefs, I knew Paisley was a very special girl and strong in character, too.

RedState’s Paisley shares her Christian beliefs with RedState.

“I choose the Trump theme because he loves God, he makes decisions because of God, he doesn’t want to take away our freedom, he doesn’t care what other people think about believing in God.”

Smith says she supported Paisley’s choice of the party theme because she knew that it wasn’t just familial influence that made her daughter look up to Donald Trump. RedState is told by Smith

“When she was about 8, she saw a speech he was giving on TV. He spoke about God and America. It wasn’t long until she was wanting to research him. It wasn’t long until she started asking me about politics and doing her own research. Although my family are Republicans, I wanted to help her understand the reasons so she did her research. She started to really get into it and would know more stuff than I did during the election process.”

Paisley put together the treat bags as party favors for her guests featuring flags that read “Trump 2024.”  Her birthday cake featured a bald eagle and American flag, with the words “Making Birthdays Great Again! Happy 10th Birthday, Paisley!” The 10-year-old made sure her birthday party started off right by beginning it with the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, and a prayer. Paisley expressed her satisfaction with the way her birthday party went, and told RedState.

“I am happy my party turned out good because I love America and want people to love America too and be grateful for our freedom.”

Paisley’s faith-based patriotism doesn’t end with her invite-only celebrations; she shares her beliefs at school as well. She carries a backpack that reads “Stand for the flag, kneel for the cross.” Smith says the kids at school have commented on the backpack frequently; she describes them as “very accepting” and notes that a lot of them are the children of local farmers. Paisley also has an Americana-themed lunchbox with a US flag over a red-and-white 1950’s pickup truck and a pair of American flag cowgirl boots.

Paisley’s classmates know she is fierce about her beliefs, and Paisley knows about her peers’ parents preferred politics, too. RedState hears from Smith.

“She preaches to them just about every chance she gets. She knows who every kid’s parents voted for because she makes sure to ask,”

Smith adds a laugh.

“which I’m sure gets annoying.”

Paisley has many leadership attributes, including the ability to whip a vote naturally. Paisley isn’t motivated by trying to fit in, Smith says:

“Paisley doesn’t stand with the crowd. She is her own person. She does her own thing. Her friends understand that it’s just who she is.”

RedState was asked by the young patriot what she would tell the former president if given the opportunity.

“I would say thank you for believing in God and loving America and not lying and cheating to America. And, please work hard to become President of the United States again.”

RedState, Paisley wishes you a happy birthday!
