Media Claims of Truckers Blocking the Super Bowl Were Never Serious, Now the Press Tries Shifting the Blame – Opinion

Although the initial reports about a Super Bowl protest had been false, the media wants to reframe the story.

The Super Bowl was played without protest at any point prior to its start. (As follows Actual incidents that occurred after the gameThese were confirmed, but much less was reported. This is surprising because it was widely reported that a large number of truckers could threaten So Fi Stadium in Los Angeles. However, there are very few evidence to support this. The evidence wasn’t there, despite the threat being widely publicized.

CBS News was the source of this storyA memo was distributed by the Department of Homeland Security to a group called ‘The News Division,’ in which it was claimed that truckers had planned a convoy to Los Angeles. This is the scenario presented by news division:

U.S. authorities are being warned by the Department of Homeland Security that truckers have planned to protest COV.ID-19The Super Bowl is in Los Angeles and vaccine mandates may be implemented as quickly as possible.

Even though it uses language that is somewhat ambiguous, the news still sounds definitive. It is less dramatic because it details the DHS message. You could only say that this memo for law enforcement covered all the bases. It sounds much less conclusive than CBS claims. The memo was almost as opaque as a Kabul bridal shop. CBS reported that the report contained many qualifiers, with an emphasis on the ones added.

CBS News obtained the bulletin. It states that the convoy is in existence. CouldHead east and you will be there. perhaps reaching Washington, D.C. in time for President Biden’s State of the Union address on March 1. This bulletin Warning that the convoy “CouldGridlock can severely impact transportation and federal government operations, as well as law enforcement, by causing gridlock. Potential counterprotests.”

Look at the Super Bowl as the only mention. Now, consider how many exceptions must be made to create a concern for the event.

“The convoy will PotentiallyCalifornia: Start here As early asMid-February, arrive Washington, DC as late as mid-March, Potentially impacting the Super Bowl LVI scheduled for 13 February and the State of the Union address scheduled for 1 March.”

There is no problem in law enforcement making contingency plans and preparing. Expect LE divisions prepared. This announcement was made in the way that protests could be made a certainty. An honest look at the DHS bulletin reveals that they wanted to be ready for disruption. CBS’s Super Bowl threat was dropped in the headline. This sparked an antiblockade response, sending the media crashing down the road of loud headlines.

ABC News declared For more details, see the claims section.Even though it is delivered via less trusted sourcing, “There are online discussions that suggest holding an event at a specific location near the Super Bowl on game day.” It is possible that some social media users wanted to organize the protest. However, this does not mean the event was legitimate organizing. This statement came after the outlet’s melodramatic read. “There are currently no indications of planned violence or civil unrest.”

Participating in the Circus CNN has compiled these reports. The network escalates the anxiety by seeing stuff in a chatroom. They make the jump immediately to ensure that the Super Bowl is delivered as it was intended.

CNN received a statement from a federal law enforcement officer saying that they began receiving calls early last week on various forums related to the Ottawa event. They were looking for ways to extend their reach into the US. Official said law enforcement officers and security personnel guarding Inglewood Super Bowl, California are prepared for possible disruptions.

We learned today that there was no NFL Championship. The NFL Championship saw no trucks being turned away or convoys hampered. There was a lot of hype surrounding a Kenworth-led shutdown. This was complete oversimplificationAs a result, the narrative shift begins. Now, some outlets and many on social media are saying the lack of a convoy disruption in Inglewood was not the result of the press greatly exaggerating things – no, this was proof of a Republican call for protest becoming a failure.

Any threat was exaggerated by the media. Once they are hysterical about the Super Bowl being threatened, they play Monday morning quarterback to try and pretend that it is a Republican attempt. It is a convenient way to hold the media accountable. It was a complete failure, and that is the proof of it.
