“Transgender” swimmer Lia Thomas has become a hot topic over the last year as the biological male has dominated NCAA women’s swimming. That crescendoed after Thomas “won” the national championship in Atlanta, GA earlier in the year.
Recently, Thomas gave Good Morning America an interview in which he displayed disturbing levels of arrogance as well as narcissism. Listen to Thomas talk about Thomas, and the things that make Thomas happy. The existence of teammates might as well not factor in, and I’ve long imagined how that must make the women feel.
Well, we don’t have to imagine anymore. Matt Walsh secured an interview with one of Thomas’ teammates for his new documentary “What Is a Woman?” In it, the anonymous swimmer, whose appearance is hidden and voice is distorted to protect her identity, delivers stunning revelations about how far the university has gone to suppress any dissent.
The Daily Wire has more details.
GMA interviewed Lia Thomas today. Amazing timing. Thomas is one of Thomas’s fellow teammates. Her team had a female team member who was silenced, and she told me they referred women to counselling if Thomas joined the team. More in the full film: https://t.co/xibkNa4oHW pic.twitter.com/YRRf2S712a

“There was a lot of things we couldn’t talk about that was concerning,” the swimmer told Walsh.
An anonymous athlete stated that no basic issues about locker rooms were brought up. If they were, she said, it was clear you’d be smeared as “transphobic.”
The woman mentions that Thomas still has male genitalia that is exposed in what should be a women’s locker room. But to be clear, even if surgery was performed to “remove” it, that would not change the biological reality of the situation. It is not possible to transform a woman into a man through self-mutilation.
Yet, one of the most stunning things the woman revealed is that UPenn, the university that this is all occurring at, actually brought in psychological help…for the women.
“If you even bring up the fact that Lia’s swimming might not be fair, you’re immediately shut down and called a hateful person, or transphobic,” she continued.
Walsh pressed, “But there’s never any conversation — the coach didn’t sit everyone down and acknowledge what everyone is upset about?”
“So, Penn actually brought in people high up in the athletic department to talk to us, like brought in someone from the LGBTQ center, they brought in someone from psychological services,” the female swimmer started.
That’s simply astonishing. Here, you have a biological man claiming to be a woman while being allowed to dominate women’s swimming at the collegiate level (and probably soon at the Olympics), and the university is like “Do you know who really needs psychological help here? The women on the team.”
And to be clear, the “help” offered wasn’t to take seriously the concerns of the female swimmers. The woman said that it was actually to make them accept the situation. She said that there was nothing to be discussed. It remains a “comply or get out” situation, where women are subjected to a biological man in the locker room, stealing their opportunities, but are told they are the problem.
“They’ve made it pretty clear, if you speak up about it, your life will be over in some way, you’ll be blasted all over the internet as a ‘transphobe,’ … you’ll never be able to get a job,” the teammate told Walsh.
Walsh claims that there is more to the documentary. Be sure to check out more videos and report on other things Walsh said.
I’m blown away — and I mean that in the worst way possible — that women are being subjected to something like this simply to feed the narcissism of a biological male. This isn’t right, and I think most Americans know it isn’t right. But they fear being called bigots and are scared to say so. It is certain that Walsh will soon identify the woman who conducted this interview with her and make her miserable. We use the word “brave” far too often, but in this case, I think it applies.
