According to reports, a man was killed when he drove into the barrier in front the United States Capitol Saturday night and shot himself.
Lisa Desjardins from PBS Newshour says that the man set his vehicle on fire before entering the East Capitol Street block at 2nd Street and East Capitol Street. According to the correspondent, he then began shooting at random. He killed himself but injures no one else.

According to multiple sources, he set fire to his vehicle and drove towards the U.S. Capitol. He began shooting randomly and eventually shot himself.

Desjardins reports that Capitol Police has not yet confirmed the incident, and that the identity of the man is unknown.
Senator Amy Klobuchar, a Democratic senator from Minnesota, responded to the news. She thanked Capitol Police.
