News broke a few weeks back about multiple sexual assaults that took place in Loudoun County’s public schools. (See Horror in Loudoun County: Local and Federal Officials). Scott Smith was the father of the alleged rape victim. This revelation made matters worse. Smith, who was denied an opportunity to talk at school board meetings about his daughter, was eventually thrown to ground and beaten before being taken out of the building in handcuffs.
After the scandal became mainstream, it was questioned how knowledgeable the school board members were about sexual assault. Smith was arrested on the 22nd of June, and it was stated that no evidence had been found to support any form of sexual assault in school bathrooms. Are the members of the board just not aware? Are they lying or were they just unaware?
The latest evidence suggests it’s the latter. According to The Daily Wire
As has been previously reported, immediately after the May rape, Ziegler wrote to the school board members saying, “The purpose of this email is to provide you with information regarding an incident that occurred at Stone Bridge HS. This afternoon a female student alleged that a male student sexually assaulted her in the restroom.”
Three weeks later, on June 22, Ziegler said in a public board meeting that “To my knowledge, we don’t have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms.”
Yet, while board member Harris Mahedavi claimed he didn’t learn about the incident until the public comment period, he replied to the May 28th email asking for an update. It would seem highly unlikely that the “missed” an email on the matter only to have it readily available a month later to respond to. Something really doesn’t add up there. Scott Pio, who runs in Virginia to become a state delegate, allegedly informed Mahedavi about the incident.
Summary: Everyone on the board received an email acknowledging that the May 28th rape was alleged. Scott Ziegler deceived parents and not one board member voiced concern about this discrepancy. Mahedavi later claimed not to have knowledge, even though he was twice told.
It all seems like officials are trying to cover up their mistakes. This is why Glenn Youngkin is in a decent position to win the Virginia governor’s race. The lies being told to parents by far-left, ideologically motivated school boards is sickening. This Loudoun County problem isn’t going away no matter what happens tomorrow.
