Los Angeles Parent Group Takes On Behemoth LAUSD, Seeks Grassroots Candidates To Fill Empty Seats – Opinion

They are tired of it. They’re mad as hell and they’re not gonna take it anymore. Los Angeles’ parent rights group was formed and is working with grassroots groups to correct the district’s power imbalance. The deadline for their new initiative is only days away, but this could be a first step in changing the status-quo for Los Angeles’ beleaguered children.

Los Angeles Unified school District (LAUSD), which is California’s second largest, has the 2nd-largest overall district. This district has over 600,000. Over the years, corruption and other ill-treatment have become a hallmark of large bureaucracies. Their power is almost unassailable over parents and students. They have put in place some insane COVID restrictions, such as forcing students from K-12 to cover their faces while outside and eating. Children – even as young as pre-k age – are forced to have swabs stuck up their noses every week in order to attend school, and that’s with a vaccine mandate. Reports have surfaced that school officials are known to chastise and humiliate students who cannot mask their symptoms for an entire day. They even bribe students to get vaccines without informing their parents.

To say it’s out of control is an understatement, considering the whole world is in the midst of a COVID rollback right now. LAUSD only increased their madness.

Loudoun County, and Los Angeles Unified school district were two of the most infected schools during the pandemic. We know what the Loudoun County parents are doing, but another group on the opposite side of the country is taking their own action and has put out a “red alert” call for help.

UTLA Uncensored (in short, UTLA Uncensored) is a relatively small online group. It monitors Los Angeles school districts as well as the United Teachers of Los Angeles. But they’re not just posting memes and digging up damning video. They are trying to rally support to fill the entire zone with potential school board candidates in the next election cycle.

Three seats will remain open in LAUSD’s 2022 school board. The school board can be compared to the local council. This position comes with a lot of power and corruption. 2016 saw the winners spend $6 million to fund their campaigns. A friend recently shared with me that when he asked a consultant about running, he was told he’d be looking at about a $3 million dollar campaign.

To be a member of a school board.

It’s clear that something is wrong when millions of campaign funds are spent on a single school board seat. Volunteers at UTLA Uncensored found a parent who is willing to run for one of three districts in 2022. They are now looking for two additional parents that live within the district boundaries. The most need for representation is in districts 2 and 6. With a UTLA Uncensored candidate already emerging for District 4, organizers are hoping that they can group all three candidates into a “parent block” which will allow them to legally raise funds and campaign together.

Our pages are for a national audience, but since educational freedom is a national issue, it seems prudent to alert our readers to any parent groups out there who are doing the Lord’s work and walking the walks. UTLA Uncensored (a loose group of concerned parents) is a non-profit organization. They do the majority of their work via their social media. They are asking anyone who lives within the boundaries of Districts 2 and 6 who has even a small interest in running to contact them through direct messaging on social media – @UTLAUncensored on TwitterInstagram. It is crucial to act quickly. Saturday ends the application period.

This group can assist you in submitting an application if you are a resident of these areas and even have the slightest interest in running. The deadline for submission is Saturday. You may change your mind, but you cannot do so after the deadline. This information should be shared with friends living in Los Angeles. Please give your support, such as website design or organizational skills to them. If you know of no one in Los Angeles and don’t particularly care about California politics, please consider just praying for your fellow citizens and for the good parents of Los Angeles who don’t have anywhere else to go. They’re not just complaining, they’re getting to work and doing something.

They’re mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore and we can all support that.
