Oklahoma’s transgender athletes should think twice about joining a team that is not their real gender. The Sooner State now requires transgenders in public schools to submit biological sex affirmations. The state’s new Save Our Sports law requires it – and incensed abortion activist Erin Matson calls it white nationalist totalitarianism.
The Washington Examiner’s Heather Hamilton wrote, “Oklahoma public schools are now requiring student-athletes to show proof of gender identity at birth before they can compete in sports.”
Gov. Kevin Stitts signed the Save Our Sports bill into law in March, and it’s taking effect. He stated that girls shouldn’t compete with boys in athletics and sports, but boys need to compete against girls. Let’s not forget: This bill is all that’s required.
Matson, an experienced field hockey player, has a brilliant Twitter account shot at Oklahoma.:
“Do you understand what is happening? This does not have anything to do with girls being athletes. It is totalitarianism. It’s the white nationalist agenda. Anti-LGBTQ agenda. The anti-abortion agenda. It is all the same agenda.”
Despite Matson’s protestations, Oklahoma student-athletes age 17 and younger must produce an affidavit signed by a parent or legal guardian indicating gender before the start of each school year. Affidavits must be submitted by student-athletes over 18 to inform their school about “any changes in the status or biological sex” within thirty days.
The ACLU also condemned Oklahoma’s law, claiming it’s built on “baseless fears” about transgender athletes and sends a “clear message” to transgender youth in the state that they are not accepted. Tamya Cox-Touré, ACLU of Oklahoma Executive Director, previously stated:
“Transgender people belong everywhere, but with the swipe of a pen and a public display, Governor Stitt has sent a clear message to Oklahoma’s vulnerable transgender youth that they are not welcome or accepted in our State. …”
Hamilton pointed out that numerous other states have taken legislative steps to protect the integrity of women’s sports. Among them are: South Carolina, Idaho, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, West Virginia, Montana, Alabama, Florida, Texas, South Dakota, Iowa, Arizona, Utah and Kentucky.
That’s what it’s come to in this crazy, mixed-up, gender-bending world that LGBTQERAQRQRQQ fanatics have created in attempting to blur the two genders. Oklahomans who are forward-thinking say no to radicals and prevent males from taking awards meant for female champions.
Oklahoma, you’re OK!
