Lawyers, Liars, & Enablers
Kevin Clinesmith is still with us. Clinesmith is a Trump-hater. Also, he was the FBI senior lawyer who altered the evidence that was sent to FISA court. Carter Page’s court-authorized surveillance was partly due to the alter evidence. A series of warrants were issued, which led to the expensive and ineffective Mueller Report. Durham’s team caught Clinesmith and indicted him. Clinesmith pleaded guilty to the felony charge and was sentenced on January. Clinesmith was acting as an attorney for the FBI and did great damage to the credibility of both the FBI and the county. However, he only spent zero days in prison. He was sentenced with probation.
If a lawyer is found guilty of a felony in any jurisdiction, they will be licensed by the Bar. They will be dealt with by their respective bars. Disbarment can lead to suspension, reproval or disbarment. In Clinesmith’s case, the DC Bar, did nothing. After he had signed a one-year suspension, the Bar did absolutely nothing. A lawyer convicted for a felony must notify the Bar within 10 working days. Clinesmith did nothing and the DC Bar also did nothing. Clinesmith, a good and ethical lawyer, is now eligible for practice. He’s officially back in “Good Standing.”
His superiors – Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok — were fired, as well. They are both also lies. Both made “allegedly” false statements while in the employ of the FBI. Both were not charged with any crime. McCabe can, if he so chooses, be a good lawyer and practice ethical law. Strzok if he’s still interested in cheating on his wife, has more time to shag Lisa Page. Other than appearances to bash Trump, he doesn’t seem to have to work. Page (another lawyer), has nothing but contempt towards Trump. She not the least bit sorry about what she wrote about Trump in texts to her lover, Strzok, but she’s super sorry she was drawn into the light.
For Clinesmith, I’ll check on his Bar bio in six months. Clinesmith’s future employment in a law firm sympathetic to his needs is certain. Like a good capo on the Mafia payroll, Clinesmith “took one” for the team. He didn’t finger anyone else at the FBI – he said it was him and only him. I imagine the plan was for him to take his suspension from the DC Bar and he’d be back to full standing, and employed at Latham & Watkins or WilmerHale sometime in 2022.
The DC Bar accelerated the timeline. Clinesmith received no punishment, and it winked. He’s a “made man.” Like a “Good Fella” who gets out of prison and is greeted by another Made Man:
“Yo, Kevin, you done good, kid. Ya didn’t rat out the organization, ya kept your trap shut. You’re a loyal soldier Kevin and we reward loyalty.”
My guess is either Latham & Watkins or WilmerHale but there are dozens of loyal Democrat law firms in DC that will be perfectly willing to give him an office, a handsome salary, and book of business. You will get a call. Kevin’s a made man.
The FBI has yet to comment on the fate of the other lying liars. They’re doing fine. McCabe did lie and was fired. McCabe set up a GoFundMe to pay for his defense. The GoFundMe page raised $500,000 within a matter of days.
McCabe’s fate was reversed two months ago by the Justice Department. McCabe accepted a team member’s pension payment and the DOJ changed its mind. Also (by odd coincidence) the DOJ agreed to pay McCabe $500,000 in legal fees – which was about what he pocketed from GoFundMe saps. He was allowed to retire and like a Soviet court pretending bad stuff never happened, all records of his firing were, officially “disappeared.” With the right DOJ enablers, it pays to be a liar.
Peter Strzok? He’s fine. An FBI hack who, when he wasn’t hooking up with Lisa Page, was doing his best to undermine Trump’s candidacy and then, his presidency, is a book writer. In one of the most hilarious moments ever captured on video, Strzok denied any wrongdoing. He should have auditioned for a soap opera on daytime because of his terrible acting. Sure he was fired by the FBI but then wrote an “Orange Man Bad” book titled “Compromised.” It was a best seller.
Lawyers, liars and enablers are good in DC.
