Wait, do I like Mitt Romney now? Okay, maybe not. However, he has become a little more relatable since he joined forces with Kyrsten sinema to create a Halloween troll. Romney dressed up as Ted Lasso to visit Sinema and present cookies.
Here’s what that looked like, and while it’s funny, I think it tells us something about Sinema’s relationship with the far-left as well.

While Nancy Pelosi and the White House are trying to get the Infrastructure Bill passed today, this happened. In the meantime, progressives like Rashida TlaibCori Bush and Cori already voiced their disapproval by declaring they will not vote for it.
Sinema’s collaboration with Mitt Romney is what I love about it. It shows how far-left the party really is. She has been harassed for months now, because she won’t just go along to get along with the radicals in her party. Sinema doesn’t back down, or retreat into the shadows. She goes above and beyond to help those who despise Sinema. There’s something respectable — and hilarious — about that.
I won’t post the replies to Sinema’s stunt, but some of them are vicious, with the general theme being that she’s a shill for special interests. You know, because there’s no lobbying effort on behalf of “climate change,” and progressive members would never accept “dark money.” And I have a bridge to sell, if anyone is interested.
Anyway, even though Romney is hardly loved by most on the right, it’s refreshing to see things not be so serious all the time. Two senators who disagree having a good time is certainly better for society than constantly being at each other’s throats. You may have different opinions.
