Karma Comes for Man Who Assaulted Freedom Convoy Protesters – Opinion

While the blockades that had been going on at the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, Ontario and at the border in Coutts, Alberta have ended, the protests continue in Ottawa, despite the threat of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act, something which has never been invoked since it was passed in 1988.

Trudeau — who knelt with BLM — pitched the Freedom Convoy as the threat requiring such extreme measures, despite the group truly being peaceful. Multiple premiers and civil liberties groups denounced Trudeau’s move.

The violent protests were actually a result of anti-Freedom Convoy members trying to get things done to protesters. At a Winnipeg protest, we saw a man with radical activist backgrounds who allegedly drove his car up onto four people. In Canberra, Australia, a woman lost her mind and drove her car up onto another protester’s car and then hit her with stolen flags.

Now there’s another crazy incident out of Ottawa involving an attack on protesters.

A man allegedly stole a flag from a 13-year-old girl who was at the protest with her father but things didn’t end up well for the flag-swiper. One man tried to get it back, but the flag-taker then pushed and attacked that man who didn’t punch him back. “Get out of my city,” the crazy man yelled, as he continued to push the other man in the face. He grabbed the flag and began walking away with it. After he had followed the father, the mad man pushed him at his hands and took his gloves.

After dumping the gloves in the snow melting, the crazy man pushed the gloves down into the water. He then attacked the father and dropped the gloves in the melting snow. After this, the father went to call police.

The situation was quickly solved by the police who arrived on scene. Nearby witnesses back up the dad’s story that the crazy man was assaulting people. It doesn’t go well for him.

The man who thought he could mess with the protesters with impunity because he didn’t like them suddenly started whining when the police told him to get up. “My ankle’s broken!” he cried. “I can’t get up.” The police sat him up anyway and arrested him. He denied attacking people and didn’t seem to understand that it was all recorded, but he admitted to having taken the flag. Not the smartest thing on the planet.

The moral of this story? No, you don’t get to attack people because you think you’re somehow more enlightened than them. The clips revealed how bad and unenlightened his behavior while the protesters tried to stop him from hitting back. This was his chance to get some instant good karma. He’s going to have a little time to think about this lesson in jail.
