While Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will undoubtedly go down in history for conservatives as one of the greatest SCOTUS members of all time, the view of him from the left is – not surprisingly – much different, which we first saw during his 1991 confirmation hearings when then-Sen. Joe Biden led the way in using vile gutter tactics to try and derail the nomination of a conservative black jurist who dared to think differently, and who famously refused to give up under mounting pressure.
Unfortunately, Thomas’ perception by Democrats has not improved much. In fact, the treatment of Thomas by his rabidly partisan critics has gotten much worse over the 30+ years he’s served on our nation’s highest court, with the occasional cries for “impeachment” surfacing and, much more disturbingly, calls for his death. Ginni, Thomas’ wife, has been subject to a disgusting attack. She, too, believes there is something suspicious about the results of the 2020 presidential elections.
Recent developments include the Friday Supreme Court decision to strike down Roe v. WadeStudents at George Washington University started a petition to demand that Thomas be removed from his adjunct faculty position at the university. This was the reason:
It is clear that Clarence Thomas’ employment at George Washington University is unacceptable, given the Supreme Court’s recent decision to strip people with wombs of their bodily autonomy. While also factoring in his wife’s part in the attempted coup in January of 2021, Judge Thomas is actively making life unsafe for thousands of students on our campus (not to mention thousands of campuses across the country). Clarence Thomas must be thrown out of Foggy Bottom.
The short version of GWU’s response was to tell them, in a nutshell, to shove it. You can read the full version below.
George Washington University sent a message to all its students, rejecting Clarence Thomas’s calls for him to be fired as adjunct professor or to cancel the long-standing Constitutional Law Seminar. The letter also defended debate. Good. pic.twitter.com/nSNPVXTmmU

Jonathan Turley (GWU Law Professor) praised Thomas for his rejection of the request to be thrown out and expressed gratitude.
George Washington University has just released a statement denying the attempt to remove Justice Clarence Thomas from our adjunct faculty. GWU did not give up on another cancelation campaign.

… As stated earlier, I hope that Justice Thomas understands that there are many at GWU who are deeply appreciative of his sharing his time and views with our students.
