Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals has never been the most political-minded athlete in the game. However, Monday’s post by Burrow on Instagram showed that he is now pro-abortion.
This post was created by another user and highlighted many cases in which people have chosen to abort their children for medical reasons.

The author wanted you to believe they weren’t pro-murdering babies, but were actually concerned about helping the women who were endangered by their pregnancies.
“You can argue and say that I’m pro-choice all you want, but the truth is: I’m pro-life. Their lives. Women’s lives,” the post said.
While these situations are certainly heartbreaking, it still doesn’t make abortion right.
The idea of a child being conceived through rape is not the right way for a pregnancy to occur, and it’s certainly sad to witness that. However, committing murder doesn’t erase the pain they might feel and it doubles the number of lives that are lost. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
These are serious medical issues, as the post pointed out. But again, willingly choosing murder to save a mother’s life is not how you handle a situation. We live in an advanced country with many resources that can help difficult pregnancies.
Furthermore, rape and incest accounted for less than 1.5 percent of the reasons for why women chose to get abortions in 2019, while abortions performed to save a mother’s life were even less frequent. We are left to wonder why so many people advocate keeping abortion federally protected when these two horrible situations rarely happen.
Burrow seems to have misunderstood what was happening and instead presented a damaging and inaccurate narrative.
