Joe Biden Stabs Kamala Harris in the Back, as Democrats Scramble for a Way Out – Opinion

Since months, Joe Biden’s relationship with Kamala and Harris, as well as their staffs, has been difficult. As RedState previously reported, the vice president and her camp have complained about being abandoned, even blaming racism as a possible factor, while the White House has fretted at Harris’ sheer incompetence and inability to garner support on her own.

This has sparked speculation over what happens to Harris in 2024. Harris is clearly a terrible candidate, something she showed during the 2020 presidential primary, but she’s also the heir apparent until Democrats forcibly remove her from that position.

It sounds as though the plan to eliminate Harris has been put into motion. As far-fetched and ridiculous as it is sounds, Joe Biden is now telling allies that he will run in 2024, knee-capping Harris’ prior plan to ascend to the throne after a single, transitory term from Biden.

Democrats are completely in a corner. On the one hand, there’s no way that Biden can mount a legitimate campaign in 2024. He will not be locked up under COVID-19 to hide in his basement and refuse to meet the public as in 2020. The American people have made clear they are done with that, and as Glenn Youngkin’s recent win showed, an ability to galvanize people and draw crowds is vital during a more normal election year.

Biden is expected to go on a barnstorming tour of the country and hold rallies to answer questions. Given his incompetence, despite being protected by the presidency, I find it extremely unlikely that he will be able to barnstorm the country. Biden’s horse race will begin, so all that is left behind will disappear. The contrast between Biden versus Ron DeSantis could be dramatic.

However, Democrats do have a choice. Kamala Harris makes a horrible choice for carrying their banner forward. Harris is a wildly ambitious and deeply inauthentic woman who rivals the root canal in most Americans’ hearts and minds. It is clear that party insiders don’t want Harris as their nominee for 2024, though they know it would be a disaster for their electoral coalition if Harris was thrown under the bus. While most Americans can’t stand Harris, a majority of Democrats love her, and that complicates matters. The party cannot be nuked in an open primary.

Thus, you get the senile, geriatric old man stabbing Harris in the back, running for reelection when he’s clearly not up for it. The Democrats make terrible choices. It’s Biden or Harris, and the White House has decided that it’s better to go with the dude with dementia versus the vice president who couldn’t energize a Jack Russell terrier.
