Joe Biden is known for his gaffes in public speaking. Back to his days in the Senate, Joe Biden was known for making headlines with ridiculous statements that were outlandish and absurd. After all, it was Barack Obama who once said “don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f…things up.”
Still, the last week has been…special. To say my expectations for Biden’s trip to Europe were low would be an understatement — but I’m not sure I foresaw it going as badly as it did.
In just days the president was able to state that US troops would enter Ukraine. He also suggested NATO might use chemical weapons and encouraged regime change in Russia. Each misstep was immediately corrected by the White House, which insists that the president had misspoken.
Biden’s handlers were not pleased with the fact that he caused even more confusion while trying to correct those errors. In one instance, he asserted that he’s “not walking anything back” when pressed on his regime change comments.
JUST IN: Biden says he’s “not walking anything back” after saying in speech Putin “cannot remain in power.”

Jen Psaki is seen lighting up a cigarette after the press conference. She has been correcting all her faceplanting since Saturday. This guy takes a couple of slow, unhurried minutes to undo it all.
According to the president’s latest remarks, he’s not walking anything back and DoesFeel that Putin must be removed from office. That’s a complete reversal from the clarification put out by hIt is handlers, yet he attempts to have it both ways by asserting that his comments were an expression of his personal feelings, not a policy change. The thing is, a president’s word isTheir administration is their policy. They have the final say and set the course. Biden’s statement that Putin must be removed is a change in policy, regardless of the opinions of some bureaucrat (a lesson Alexander Vindman didn’t quite understand).
Later, Fox News’ Peter Doocy pressed Biden on the totality of his European gaffes. Biden didn’t give a plausible explanation, or even admit fault. Instead, he smirked and claimed that none of these things ever happened.
Q: It sounded as if you had told U.S. soldiers they were heading to Ukraine. Also, it sounded almost like you suggested that the U.S. could use chemical weapons. And it seemed like you wanted regime change in Russia.
BIDEN – “None of those three actually happened.”

While I’d love to be able to blame that answer on Biden’s senility, in actuality, it’s just him being the notorious liar he’s always been. Doocy knows what he is talking about and his staff knew that he had multiple backtracking statements on comments he made while in NATO and Poland. He thinks that he is able to smile and tell more lies, then get a pat on his head.
I’ve got bad news for him, though. People aren’t buying it anymore. There’s a reason his approval numbers rival that of testicular cancer. Biden’s good ole’ boy act doesn’t buy him the goodwill it used to. Voters are angry at the pain he’s wrought, they understand how dangerous his missteps are, and they are ready to send a message. November awaits.
