Jen Psaki’s Response to Chris Wallace on Parental Rights Laws Shows Exactly Why We Need Them – Opinion

Jen Psaki is the White House Press secretary. As she closes in on her final days, Jen seems to have been listening to a lot podcasts, and even doing interviews. Maybe that’s her way of getting more attention for herself and potentially her new show that she’s supposed to have. She’s also gotten more irritating and extreme over the past month, throwing off any pretend politeness and spinning even more blatant lies. While there are some ethical issues with having a deal at the White House while she is still in office, no one seems to hold her responsible for these actions.

Psaki was on CNN+ along with Chris Wallace. It is possible that this was the only time anyone will watch Wallace and CNN+ even for a moment. Wallace asked Wallace about Florida’s parental right bill. Psaki indicated that she would not be happy with teachers teaching sex education for children under three years old. That’s when Psaki responded that it wasn’t about “sex” but teaching kids about “gender identity” which she was all in favor of.

“What about Sally? Sally has two parents. Or, I’m not sure if I’m a girl or a boy?” Psaki said. She then went on to claim that there wasn’t a big record of teaching issues of gender identity in schools. She obviously hasn’t seen the Libs of TikTok account, and that’s why the left wants to crush that account. So which is it: They want to be free to teach on the subject or there isn’t a big record? Both of these concepts are incompatible. Plus, the answer is simple — ask your parents. A teacher must be prompted to make this request. I also doubt that any student will ever ask the question. Psaki wants the teacher to tell children whether they’re boys or girls. Heck, their Supreme Court candidate couldn’t even answer what a woman is, and neither could members of the administration. I don’t want someone who can’t even define what a woman is teaching my kid whether they’re a boy or a girl and filling their heads with some of the moral relativism that we’ve seen from the Biden Administration. Psaki is right to point out the exact problem in this matter and the reason the law is required.

Psaki, as we reported previously, broke down (fake?). over the issue talking about how “horrible” laws like the Florida law were.

It’s like kids who are bullied and then all these leaders are taking steps to hurt them and hurt their lives and hurt their families,” Psaki said, claiming that the laws were going after parents and it was “outrageous.”

So putting the instruction where it should be — in the hands of the parents — is attacking the parents? Psaki wasn’t the best tool in the box, no one has ever claimed that.

Chris Wallace did manage to bring in a few viewers to his CNN+ program with the interview, before CNN+ got slapped by its powers for being a huge failure.

As my colleague, Brad Slager, observed, “If a question falls to an administration hack on CNN+, and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a difference?”
