A Colorado man who in August pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of “parading” inside the Capitol during the January 6 “insurrection” begged a federal judge for leniency, declaring himself “an idiot,” new court filings show, and repeatedly apologized to America for his participation in the day’s events.
Glen Wes Lee Croy of Colorado Springs, 46 wrote the letter to his federal judge regarding his case. As reported by WUSA Denver,
I was an idiot for walking into the building. America and all of America must again be appalled at my participation.
WUSA reports that Croy has apologized for a variety of sentencing files.

In his apology letter to the judge, Croy said he became increasingly frustrated by the non-stop news of the George Floyd riots and COVID mandates and fell into “rabbit holes” online, according to WUSA.
Croy, who had been unemployed, claimed that he used some of his stimulus money to fly to Washington, D.C., in support of Trump. Croy stated that he followed Trump supporters around the Capitol Building as festivities got into full swing. The “caught up in the moment” defense?

Croy described himself as a “lemming,” as transcribed by WUSA.
Regrettably, I followed the crowd again like a lemming. My adrenaline was up and I knew I wasn’t supposed to be there but I was in the thick of it by this point.
According to the Justice Department’s filing, Croy was indicted with:
You may not enter or remain in restricted buildings; Disruptive and disorderly conduct in restricted buildings; Violent entry and disorderly conduct in Capitol Buildings; Picketing in Capitol Buildings.
Croy pleaded guilty to count 4 (“parading”) and is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 5. Prosecutors are requesting two months of jail time, describing Croy’s actions in court documents a bit differently than he did.
While he committed criminal acts as though he were on vacation, his concern about their severity was not evident. He was [also]He bragged and justified his actions to many friends without realizing the seriousness.
This is very interesting. “Lemming,” or eager participant who bragged about and defended his actions? I don’t know. I don’t have a dog in the fight, nor do I know the truth about the actions and motivations of Mr. Glen Wes Lee Croy of Colorado Springs inside the U.S. Capitol or afterward.
I am certain that both the Democrat Party, and the liberal media lapdogs will continue to milk January 6.
