James Woods Takes Down Jussie Smollett’s Hysterical Supporters

“Okay…”

James Woods took Friday morning to troll a number of commentators who had just recently foamed at the mouth about the attack of Jussie Smollett, which police now suspect may have been staged.

Smollett, the star of Fox’s TV series “Empire,” claimed that he had been assaulted last month by two strangers shouting racial vituperation and pro-Trump slogans at him (“this is MAGA land,” he recalled one of the alleged assailants crying out).

The story was a stab to the heart for many opinionators, who immediately saw the attack as the epitome of the viciousness, racism, and hatred concocted ex nihilo by President Donald Trump’s election.

“The racist, homophobic attack on Jussie Smollett and how it’s everything far-right America has been working towards,” wrote actor Joshua Rivera for GQ.

But on Thursday night multiple reports confirmed that Chicago Police is considering the option that Smollett may have staged the attack using two Nigerian extras from his own TV show.

For Woods, himself an actor and recreational lib-baiter, it was the cue for the gloating to begin.

Calmly and succinctly, Woods panned one hysterical liberal after the other.

“[U]h huh,” he pithily tweeted at Rivera.

“Okay…” he tweeted at Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, who had shared Rivera’s article with her own addition that, “the dangerous lies spewing from the right wing is killing & hurting our people.”

A day earlier, as the news broke, the 71-year-old actor smugly tweeted, “I’m shocked!” ironically adding the hashtag, “#JusticeforJussie.”
