Joe Biden spent this week trying to deflect inflation, rising gasoline prices, and the supply chain crisis.
In his remarks on Tuesday, what it basically broke down to is that it’s your fault, not his. The economy is bad because he’s made it so good – all those rising prices are on you.
“Because of the strength of our economic recovery, American families have been able to buy more products. And – but guess what? They’re not going out to dinner and lunch, and going to local bars because of Covid. What are they doing then? They’re staying home and ordering online or buying product. So what happens when there are more people who have the money and less product that they want to buy? The supply chain’s the reason. The answer is you guys, and I’ll get to that in a minute, but what happens? Prices go up,” the president said.
“People have a little more breathing room than they did last year, and that’s a good thing. But it also means you’ve got higher demand for goods at the same time we’re facing disruptions in the supplies to make those goods,” he continued. “This is a recipe for delays and for higher prices. It’s a feeling that people feel. They’re feeling it.”
Then he described the rise in gas prices as something different.

“Did you ever think you’d be paying this much for a gallon of gas?” Biden asked. “In some parts of California they’re paying four dollars and fifty cents a gallon!”
This is not the Biden Administration, it’s the Bystander Administration, where Joe is just commenting while things happen around him. Don’t look at him doing everything to attack our energy position while begging other countries on bended knee to pump more oil. That’s apparently okay if they pump more oil, even as he attacks our fossil fuel production. It isn’t his responsibility and he has no immediate solutions to the problems of the rising gas prices as both the White House explained. When asked about rising gas prices, Jennifer Granholm, Jennifer Granholm from the Energy Department laughed.
In his remarks on Wednesday at the port of Baltimore, Biden repeated another theme of his that we reported about before – that Americans are confused and just don’t understand what’s going on with the supply chain crisis and reporters weren’t doing a good job of explaining it. Is there an earth-shattering reason he gave?
‘You hear a lot about the supply chains in the news, but frankly, not a lot of people have a clear understanding, whether they have a Ph.D. or they didn’t go to school, about how a supply chain works,’ the president said.
‘In simple terms, supply chain is just the journey that a product takes to get to your doorstep,’ he said.
Aren’t you incredibly enlightened now with that heady explanation from Professor Biden?
I’m thinking the problem isn’t the American people but Joe’s lack of understanding which is why we get this severely lacking response.
He accidentally also acknowledged that the stimuli checks he had sent may have been a contributing factor to the problem.
‘The irony is people have more money now because of the first major piece of legislation I passed.
‘You all got checks for $1,400. You got checks for a whole range of things,’ Biden said, referencing his COVID relief checks sent out in April.
‘If you’re a mom and you have kids under the age of 7, you get $300 a month and if it’s over 7 to 17, you’re getting $360 a month,’ he said, misstating the second amount, which is $250 per month.
‘It changes people’s lives. But what happens if there’s nothing to buy and you got more money to compete for getting [goods]” It creates a real problem.’
‘On the one hand, we’re facing new disruptions to our supplies. At the same time, we’re also experiencing higher demand for goods because wages are up as well as people have money in the bank. And because of the strength of our economic recovery, American families have been able to buy more products.’
But the claim about wages is misleading – because of inflation, Americans’ buying power is less. Yesterday’s report showed that prices increased by 6.2 percent in Oct compared to a year earlier, which is the highest annual rise in over 30 years.
Unfortunately, Biden’s only response seems to be to talk a lot, blame Americans and claim they don’t understand. They sent Biden a strong message last Tuesday with elections that they understood and knew where the problem lies. Keep following this course and you can expect an even greater message next year.
