It Sure Looks Like a Key Witness in the Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Committed Perjury – Opinion

Now, we are in the last stages of Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial in Kenosha (Wisconsin), with final arguments and jury instructions set for Monday.

Rittenhouse’s decision to testify in his own case was the shocking moment of the week, and led to some hilarious moments from the prosecution. Gaige Grosskreutz’s admission on November the 8th was also absolutely key in building the defense’s case. You’ll recall the latter as the pistol-wielding “medic” that Rittenhouse shot in the bicep, a moment that was dramatically caught on video.

Grosskreutz said that Rittenhouse never shot him after his hands were raised. Grosskreutz instead pointed his gun at Rittenhouse, and then charged him with firing the shots.

Video evidence clearly showing Grosskreutz running toward Rittenhouse before bringing his weapon to bear was enough to support this claim. Grosskreutz was utterly different when he was asked his opinion on the subject by Anderson Cooper.

We should all stop and think about how gross and unethical it is that a supposed news channel would allow this man to offer an impartial witness. Grosskreutz even admitted in a social media posting that he had wanted Rittenhouse’s death. Maybe you bring this guy on after the trial has concluded, but to do so during it and to treat him with kid gloves is yet another breach of journalistic ethics over at the “most trusted name in news.”

Still, getting back to Grosskreutz, it sure seems like he committed perjury under oath last Monday if he’s now claiming a totally different story on CNN. Or conversely, he’s lying now to the clapping seals on cable news and told the truth in the courtroom. What we do know is that it can’t be both. Whatever the case, judge ought to be curious as to why Grosskreutz tells different stories depending on his perception of who is listening.

As I have already stated, however, the video proves what it says. Grosskreutz was not shot by Rittenhouse when his arms were raised. Grosskreutz had been almost over Rittenhouse when Rittenhouse pointed a pistol at him. Rittenhouse shot him. In the end, truth will win on this point.
