In reaction to the Supreme Court landmark decision that gun permit laws “shall not issue” are unconstitutional, Justice Elie Mystal, justice correspondent, claimed that the six conservative justices of the Supreme Court were responsible for the mass shootings in the past weeks, even though the decision was made only hours before.
You can see it on ZerlinaPeacock’s streaming site on Thursday allowed Mystal to answer Zerlina Maxwell’s question about the reasons behind the court’s decision. “Because I think that the folks back home are like ok with the Second Amendment.” I know that has to do with gun rights but maybe they don’t understand the actual analysis that Thomas is utilizing here.”
Maxwell claimed, “what the Second Amendment says and how these conservative justices are interpreting it, there’s a wide gap between the actual words and what they’re saying the words mean.”

In response, Mystal claimed “what they’ve basically done is taken the first part of the Second Amendment. ‘A well-regulated militia being necessary to secure a free state’ they’ve taken that whole first clause of the Second Amendment and they’ve just thrown it out the window.”
In an attempt to swindle Supreme Court Justice Thomas, he then claimed that he and other conservatives were on the court. “will not use the Fourteenth Amendment’s due process rights to protect, again women who maybe uh—people who may become pregnant. They won’t use it to protect all sorts of you know disabled people, LGBTQ people. However, it appears that the Fourteenth Amendment exists to protect firearms.
Proving how intolerant he is of people who don’t hold his irrational and narrow-minded worldview, Mystal wailed “It should be a proof to Democrats that rational argument doesn’t hold any more in the Supreme Court,”He said that conservative jurisprudence can only be defeated by a solution. They will be overpowered by liberal justices, who are able to read an entire amendment and not ignore parts.
His mental unhinged rant was ended by him claiming, without any evidence, that Six conservatives sitting on the Supreme Court are responsible for this violence. They are responsible! We’ll continue to be victims of violence until they stop doing it.

ELIE MYSTAL: Yeah, so what they’ve basically done is taken the first part of the Second Amendment. ‘A well-regulated militia being necessary to secure a free state’ they’ve taken that whole first clause of the Second Amendment and they’ve just thrown it out the window. They just white it out, they just pretend like they can’t read it. So they act now as if there were any regulations on guns.
Thomas seems to believe that the Fourteenth Amendment gives him the right to fair process. The conservatives will not use the Fourteenth Amendment’s due process rights to protect, again women who maybe uh—people who may become pregnant. They won’t use it to protect all sorts of you know disabled people, LGBTQ people. The Fourteenth Amendment, however, is meant to safeguard guns.
That is also a new thing that Thomas invented in today’s guns decision. Zerlina it’s bonkers! It’s scientific! As if it were an extreme, crazy opinion that six conservative justices signed up to. It should be a proof that Democrats are wrong. I pray that no rational argument is allowed anymore at the Supreme Court. As a kind of argumentative, there isn’t a rational argument.
It isn’t going to take convincing them to put an end to them. You can overpower them with the expansion of the court’s liberal justices. They are capable of reading a complete amendment and not just certain parts. Like that’s what it’s actually going to take. Arguments don’t work here.
MAXWELL – Do you really mean being a real textualist? That’s what you mean.
MYSTAL: Right? Like the actual, they don’t actually care about the text of the amendments if it doesn’t support their preferred outcomes. And that’s kind of always been the case of textualism. That’s always the intellectual bankruptcy of the conservative project. But it’s just laid bare for all to see. You are correct, I believe, because this comes in the context bloodthirsty, despicable mass shootings.
This is the most severe problem in a wealthy country. Why? It’s not due to violent videogames. There are violent games in other countries. It’s not because of mental health issues. Many people in countries around the world have mental health problems. It’s not even because we have a lot of disaffected young white males. In other countries, disaffected white young men are common. Six conservatives sitting on the Supreme Court are responsible for this violence. They are responsible! We’ll continue to be victims of violence until they stop doing it.
