IRONY: MSNBC’s Melber Worries Musk Will Shadowban & Censor Dems

The leftist host at MSNBC made one of the most bizarre and stupidest comments ever heard on MSNBC. The Beat Ari Melber complained in a lengthy monologue about Tesla CEO Elon Musk buying Twitter, and actually worried that Musk could shadowban and censor the Democrat Party’s candidates in the upcoming midterm elections without anyone knowing. It’s as if Melber has been living on another planet for the past five or so years because conservatives have been censored constantly under Twitter’s current leadership.

Melber started by convincing his audience to care about Elon Musk having Twitter “I’m just telling you this thing matters a ton. The world’s richest person who is very good at accumulating wealth and power thinks this is worth spending tens of billions of dollars on because frankly he thinks it’s that valuable and he thinks it may help him”Melber spoke urgently

He was able to focus on Musk, and former President Donald Trump. “they are symptoms of the world we’re living in where technology has outpaced any of our ability to deal with it.”

Melber continued his whining and lectured about that “if you are a democracy like the United States that used to regulate media ownership and say Rupert Murdoch can’t have too many local TV stations and newspapers in one town, they have laws for that are still on the books.”Then, he suggested to Congress that Twitter should not be owned by everyone.

If you own all of Twitter or Facebook”Melber started the speech by saying. “You don’t even have to be transparent. You could secretly ban one party’s candidate or all of its candidates, all of its nominees.”

Evidently lacking any sense of irony or self-awareness, he carried on his absurd speculation “or you could just secretly turn down the reach of their stuff, and turn up the reach of something else and the rest of us might not even find out until after the election.”

Melber made this statement despite Musk having stated explicitly that he wanted to buy Twitter to restore freedom of speech.

Musk said he’d ban Democrats from the platform but Melber appeared to believe shadowbanning has never been done before. The world is all around him seems completely foreign to this guy.

ARI MELBER : People who deal with this stuff know how crucial it is. I’m not telling you need a Twitter account, I’m not telling you you have to jump in the ocean to study whether the ocean levels are rising. It matters enormously. It’s worth investing tens or billions of dollars in because the richest man on earth, who’s very successful at building wealth and power, thinks it’s valuable. Trump, by the way, today is claiming he won’t even return to Twitter if the ban were lifted but few take what Donald Trump says seriously on that score.

What is the problem? These are far more important than Trump or Elon Musk. They are symptoms of the world we’re living in where technology has outpaced any of our ability to deal with it. It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to determine what age your child can participate in.

This is true even if there were a democratic country like the United States, which used to regulate media ownership.

We also discussed last week in one our special reports that if you are the sole owner of all social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook you do not have to share your identity. It doesn’t mean you have to disclose your identity. It is possible to secretly expel a candidate of one party, or all its candidates and nominees. You could also secretly reduce the power of one party’s candidate, or all of its candidates. This would allow you to increase the influence of another party. The rest of us may not find this out until the election.

Elon Musk claims that this is to help people. He is a philosopher, open-minded, free-speech helper and a global helper. Are you sure that is true? Is he lying? This is important regardless of whether or not you are a Twitter user. This is very important.
