Every morning, I log into Twitter. Although I share the same addiction to social media as most Americans, I find Twitter useful in helping me keep track of how the news cycle is developing throughout the day. My followers fill in the gaps. The trending tab will usually reveal anything significant that occurred overnight. However, lately when I log in to Twitter in the mornings, I’ve been seeing not news events on the trending tab, but celebrities. It usually gives me some hope.
“Oh no, this very important celebrity has died!” is always my first reaction.
Recent Twitter trends have shown that celebrities are trending because of their naughty behavior. Not the typical naughty behaviors like public meltdowns or drug binges. That’s so 2005. Given that left-wing celebrity/entertainment culture has pretty much done away with all moral boundaries and pretenses, the only thing left for the left to get upset about is happy people.
Chris Pratt made the grave error recently of publicly praising his lovely wife (honey, why can’t you be more like Chris Pratt??) for being his partner and giving him a “healthy daughter.” You may be wondering why the progressive cranks would get so upset over that, but apparently, they all took it upon themselves to be offended on behalf of Chris’ ex-wife Anna Farris. Jack was born prematurely with a severe medical condition. He spent several days in hospital.
Spoilers! He wasn’t complimenting his wife. As it turns out, Chris Pratt doesn’t think of his son as some freak of nature because he struggled to survive as a baby.
Terry Crews was the trending topic today when I woke-up. Crews has already come under fire for not being appropriately enraged about his America’s Got Talent co-star’s alleged #MeToo experience. He’s also a very traditional man who is open about his battle with pornography and his struggle to repair his marriage and family because of it. So what was Crews’ horrific crime? Crews was able to board the private plane of an international renowned pedophile, and spent a week with his teenage sex slaves. Was he able to perform horrifying medical tests on beagle puppies innocently? Was he able to shoot and kill someone on his most recent project?
No. Terry Crews did a commercial on Amazon.
It was a riot. Terry Crews is a union buster. Amazon isn’t a union shop. Terry Crews hates workers’ rights. Terry Crews would’ve done advertisements for slavery if someone paid him enough.

I realized that Terry Crews’s acting role for Amazon is probably the same as the ones who accuse me of murder for trying to protect small businesses during the pandemic. Even though outlets such as Amazon have made fortunes from being permitted to continue to operate, it was likely that 100% of those complaining about Terry Crews are actually the same people who whined about Terry Crews. They supported the march towards an Amazon monopoly in the name of “the greater good” and now they want to pretend that it’s not their pandemic fears that have done more damage at the hands of Amazon than a lone, Black man on tv in work boots and an orange vest.

Crews or Pratt are unable to stop hateful claims being made against them by progressive left keyboard warriors. Their sin — according to the progressive left — does not lie in vaguely offending ex-wives or supporting non-union companies with their acting talents. These may be the sins that are being referred to, but these are just the fabrications of a pathetic hatred that is gripping the left-wing and politics today.
Their true sin is their first sin. They are happy.
This country’s progressive left has turned to addiction to suffering. Just like the drug addict who cannot tolerate being around sober people who don’t want to participate in their drug of choice, progressive sourpusses cannot tolerate the presence of anyone who has chosen joy, or contentment, or happiness over bitterness and outrage. For these cranks, anger is a virtue while victimhood is an inhumanity. If you’re not angry at someone all the time, then you are not a serious person. Even worse. Your enemy is you.
This is because they see the world through projections. They can only see the world and everyone in it (who isn’t them) as nefarious and selfish and intentionally cruel. Sure, Pratt and Crews may look happy while they’re on social media or in commercials, but it must be a lie because no one would just do a thing simply because it makes them happy or brings them joy. It is clear that they have ulterior motives. They must be covering up for darker intentions, because good intentions can’t possibly exist for people who aren’t wailing about the state of modern society 24 hours a day.
Pratt and Crews have to be lying. They are faithful Christians, dedicated husbands and take up traditional roles within their families. That “patriarchal” lifestyle is supposed to lead to misery and bitterness. They should be content with their lives and their skin. What do they have to say about the unhappy, anxious lives of progressive cranks. They can’t be right. They must instead be subtly insulting their families and trying to single-handedly bring down workers’ unions. It couldn’t possibly be that they have found contentment in a way that doesn’t involve burning down cities, entirely re-segregating American society, and erasing the complete history of human knowledge of biology and gender.
It is a mob culture of progressive leftists who are addicted to misery and rage. It makes them feel like “serious” people. It provides them with purpose. They must therefore degrade those men who find purpose in a culture that is not resentful. If men like Pratt and Crews are right about the key to contentment — family and higher obligations outside of their work lives — then the progressive left is screwed.
They don’t like to work and they hate traditional family structures.
It looks like they’ll just be miserable forever. It’s a brand.
