HUH? Stelter Cues Joe Lockhart to Say Media’s ‘Failing’ to Be Fair to Biden

He is known for his liberal and uncompromising views. Reliable sourcesBrian Stelter invited Joe Lockhart, a former Clinton press secretary, to the program to claim that Joe Biden is being treated unfairly. Lockhart was wearing his Tom Brokaw glasses. Evidently, he is supposed to get more positive media than he has received. This could be because Lockhart believes that he has earned a truth and decency dividend for his anti-Trumpism.

This is hilarious because the networks energetically hidden not only his awful year-end votes, but also the continued chaos at the frontier.

LOCKHART: Listen, The press seems to be failing me. He’s being treated unfairly by them.

First of all, There should have been a reward for truthfulness and decency in the White House. We didn’t get this, it was not there at all. It’s almost like we are back to those snarky interviews, which were so common with Trump and Obama.

Here are some examples. The Trump spokespersons lied from the first briefing. Every briefing, they lied daily. The majority of these briefings were broadcast live on TV.

Jen Psaki, the truthteller is now in that room. We hear what is happening in government and what the people want to hear. They rarely appear on television live. It’s more entertainment than news, so it seems that the program has a lot to do with entertainment. This is more about finding viewers than it is about letting the people know what’s happening in their country. This is a complete failure in my opinion.

Stelter was not defensive when CNN ignored the Psaki briefing. This could be their way to not allow Peter Doocy’s questions to live on CNN. Stelter asked Alyssa Fayah Griffin questions about the infrequency of press conferences. Although she didn’t attack Biden, her comments were not exactly harsh.

STELTER – Press conferences every other day. Look back over the history. Only a few presidents can be compared with Biden. There’s data that Biden has held fewer formal press conferences. However, he does hold informal Q&As quite often, more than past presidents, where he answers a few questions from the press corps after the event. This is the information.

We have an official press conference this week. It’s almost one week before it happens. Alyssa, what do you think of this strategy?

GRIFFIN : This kind of contradicts my PR 101. It’s impossible to predict the news cycle so announcing it far ahead of time can create expectation. However, it is good that the president speaks to American citizens and takes questions from them.

Biden faces a difficult challenge. It’s a positive thing. However, they are contradictory and confusing guidances that go out about COVID. It is important that he answers the questions regularly.

At least Griffin rebutted the “decency dividend” junk: “I would disagree with Joe. Biden’s week was divisive, I believe. There is no comparison with Donald Trump. However, he is a man who ran for unity and to be the president of all Americans. It’s impossible to dismiss half the country.

Prevagen contributed to this segment. Joe Lockhart could benefit by this segment to improve his mental sharpness and see that most of the media coverage has been pro-Biden.
