House Democrats Show Their Priorities, Approve New State ‘Anti-Islamophobia’ Office – Opinion

Yes, I do.

The ongoing border crisis. Inflation spiraling outof control due to rising gas prices. Americans, deliberately left behind in Afghanistan by the Taliban and still trapped behind Taliban lines. Plummeting Biden approval rates. An out-of-control infectious and emerging diseases “expert” and a disastrous vice president.

There are many more.

Nancy Pelosi’s and the House Democrats can be accused of not prioritizing their priorities.

As reported by Reuters, the House on Tuesday voted along straight party lines (219-212) to approve a bill to create a State Department office to “address anti-Muslim bias,” after Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) called Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) a member of a “Jihad Squad.”

In addition, as reported by my colleague streiff, earlier this month, Boebert called out Omar for “financial shenanigans, a fraudulent (we hope) and incestuous marriage, and for being a member of above-mentioned ‘Jihad Squad.” — all of which, Omar has been accused of in the past, multiple times.

As to the “Jihad Squad” blast, call what you want, it matters not. You don’t know what? It does not matter is that the dopey so-called “Squad” — Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayana Pressley demonstrate anti-American, anti-Israel, pro-Islamist behavior on a regular basis.

The silly “Oh, yeah — I’ll show you!” bill was authored by Omar and would even create a special envoy for “monitoring and combating Islamophobia and include state-sponsored anti-Muslim violence in the department’s annual human rights reports,” as noted by the wire service report.

Said Omar on the House Floor:

There is a dramatic rise in anti-Muslim violence, discrimination and death worldwide. We must take the lead in addressing it.

But, hey — let’s pretend it’s true. Thing is, we don’t have to pretend anti-Semitism exists. We don’t have to pretend overt racism against white Americans is rampant nor figure out where it exists. We don’t have to pretend brutal racist attacks against Asian-Americans by black Americans occur on a regular basis.

Are those State Department offices located? Is there a special envoy? I’ll wait.

New York Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin called Omar’s bill exactly what it is.

The House is voting today on an Ilhan Omar Islamophobia bill that doesn’t even define Islamophobia. The way it’s worded intentionally leaves open room to play Omar’s calculating game that ANY criticism on ANY topic related to her could be defined as “Islamophobia”. That’s absurd!

Of course, it’s absurd. Even more absurd? Nancy Pelosi and every other House Democrat lacking the character and integrity to understand what Zeldin said, choosing instead to take the faux “high moral ground” in blind support of all-things Islam. And of course, Omar knew they would.

Yet? Where are Pelosi and the Democrats in defense of Israel? They are shamelessly nowhere to be found.

A more amusing note is that this entire thing places Chucky Schumer’s and Senate Democrats in a bit difficult position. Chucky Schumer will move the bill. He’ll have to. Is it possible? Zero chance. There is no way.

Because it’s a blatant attempt by a group of anti-Semitic, America- and Israel-hating radical leftists and their morals-free House Speaker to spread that hatred and afford it a sense of legitimacy.

This must never happen.
