According to reports, there may be four hostages in the synagogue including the rabbi as well as three other people. It is thought that the suspect is armed. He claims to also have bombs stored in unknown places. The incident was captured on live streaming from the temple. At midday, both the FBI and Colleyville SWAT have responded.
While some networks are holding off on releasing the suspect’s name, ABC has identified him as Muhammad Siddiqui. The suspect’s sister is a known terrorist, Aafia Siddiqui, who was convicted in New York of trying to kill US military personnel. He allegedly wants her to be released from Carswell Air Force Base, near Fort Worth. He is allegedly being questioned by authorities to determine if they can help.
