Chris Hayes, the host of “The Democrat Party Propaganda Arm”, used his platform to show that MSNBC wasn’t a news agency but a propaganda arm for Democrat Party. All In To suggest that Lee Zeldin, the New York Republican Gubernatorial Candidate for the office of Governor in New York, conspired with the Monroe County District Attorney to get his assailant released on bail to allow him to use the controversy against his Democrat opponent to portray him as soft-on crime.
Zeldin, who was giving a stump speech for a campaign on July 21st, was attacked and beaten by a man. Hayes made the situation political, accusing Zeldin that he was political. “In the aftermath of this generally scary incident, Zeldin’s campaign saw an opportunity to take lemons and make political lemonade,” Hayes proclaimed.
Hayes recounted how on “the night of the attack, Zeldin makes this bold prediction. He gets on Twitter and he says quote, the attacker will likely be instantly released under New York’s laws. Zeldin was right on the mark, and it’s amazing. You did it perfectly. In fact, the very next day, his attacker was charged with attempted second-degree assault, and released from jail without bail.”
Hayes, who is leftist propagandist and immediately connected the fact Zeldin and Zeldin are good friends and suggested that they worked together in order to get the attacker out of his hands for political gain.
Sandra Doorley attended the Zeldin attack rally. She supports Zeldin. She is a friend. Minutes after the incident, Zeldin spoke to Sandra Doorley, Monroe County’s DA. And it was Doorley’s office which made the affirmative decision to charge the attacker with a crime that would be eligible for release without bail.
“So, you may see what it might look like? Hayes was curious. “Like Doorley’s office worked to gin up a politically convenient narrative for Zeldin’s campaign, which he is listed as co-chair.”
Hayes ended by telling an unintentional joke: “our job as journalists regardless of ideology or politics is just to separate the real story, from the cynical hysteria and to call out the flagrant propaganda when we see it.” He’s the furthest thing from a journalist, and wouldn’t know the difference between facts and “flagrant propaganda” if his life depended on it.

Eastern at 8:45 PMCHRIS HAYES: But in the aftermath of this generally scary incident, Zeldin’s campaign saw an opportunity to take lemons and make political lemonade. You see Lee Zeldin has been running a kind of old-school tough-on-crime lock ‘em up campaign. With the primary focus of his ire being New York state’s bail reform laws which make it so that some misdemeanor and non-violent offenders don’t have to sit in a cell awaiting trial simply because they don’t have the money to afford bail. Bail is determined solely on the amount you can afford to pay. Right?
Zeldin’s bold prediction was made the night before the attack. He gets on Twitter and he says quote, the attacker will likely be instantly released under New York’s laws. Zeldin was right on the mark, and it’s amazing. You did it perfectly. His attacker was actually charged with second-degree assault and released without bail the next day. Zeldin went immediately on the offensive. Zeldin held press conferences on bail reform. Sean Hannity was his interview subject on Fox News. He again blamed New York for its criminal justice laws.
[…]
He is incorrect. The attacker wasn’t charged with violent felonies, and that is kinda the point. However, a story was established. Donald Trump even mentioned this in his speech today. It is yet another example of soft-on-crime libs. To concerned about getting along with BLM people to ensure our streets are safe. The story of Lee Zeldin is, as you may have guessed, more complicated than he initially claimed. People naturally began to ask, “Wait a minute, who was the prosecutor that only charged him with attempted second-degree sexual assault?”
Sandra Doorley, a woman from Monroe County in New York is the district attorney. Sandra Doorley, it turns out is Lee Zeldin’s personal friend. She was the official co-chair for his gubernatorial campaign just three months back. It’s a position she now wants to distance herself from, and it only gets worse. Sandra Doorley attended the Zeldin attack rally. She supports Zeldin. She is a friend. According to reports, Zeldin spoke just minutes following the incident with Sandra Doorley (the Monroe County DA). And it was Doorley’s office which made the affirmative decision to charge the attacker with a crime that would be eligible for release without bail.
Doorely claims she didn’t make that decision and her office just followed the recommendations of the sheriff’s Department. It’s strange. Monroe County prosecutors have a reputation for pressing much more severe charges than others for bail requests. Sandra Doorley’s law & order politics are in line with Lee Zeldin. It might seem like this.
Like Doorley’s office worked to gin up a politically convenient narrative for Zeldin’s campaign, which he is listed as co-chair. Doorley declared yesterday she was withdrawing from the Zeldin matter. His attacker isn’t on the streets in New York, so the controversy seems somewhat moot. He is currently in federal custody on assault charges. It goes without saying that assaulting a sitting Congressman is a crime which the federal government considers very serious.
Yet again, the damage is done. This is a perfect example of how we talk about law, order, crime, and justice in the country. Yes, it was serious. And it’s also true that in a larger sense, we’ve seen an increase in violence. Right? This problem needs to be solved. This problem must be discussed and resolved in a clear group.
Zeldin, however was also attacked. Then there are conservative propagandists and Republican politicians who try sometimes to discredit the little criminal justice reform in America. And, by the grace of God, this country is still home to the largest number of incarcerated people on Earth. Journalism is about reporting the facts, regardless of political ideology.
