Gretchen Whitmer Hits the Panic Button Over the Canadian Trucker Bridge Shutdowns – Opinion

Canadian Trucker has spread from Ottawa to other parts of Canada and is now at the biggest Crossing the borderNorth America carries just a little more than 25% of trade between these two countries. Over the past few days, traffic on the Ambassador Bridge connecting Detroit, Michigan with Windsor, Ontario was backed up by trucker protests. Port Huron traffic has been affected by the protests. Michigan, Sarnia and Windsor cross at Blue Water Bridge. This bridge is about 70 miles up I-94 East.

Simply put, it is marvelous to watch, and if I may steal a quote from actual radicals who have in the past five years screamed and yelled at people while encouraging buildings to be burned and cities to be occupied…

Canada protested the imposition of vaccine mandates by Justin Trudeau in January, with positive results. My colleague and I agreed. Nick Arama write earlier today, Trudeau revoked in Parliament, more Provinces lift restrictions.

It isn’t looking so good for Justin Trudeau (Canadian Prime Minister) or Canadian mandates.

Alberta, Saskatchewan and other provinces are ending their mandates. Quebec, Prince Edward Island (NSC), and New Brunswick now say they have dropped some restrictions. While it looks as though the provinces have made progress in this direction, Justin Trudeau continues to refuse to make any concrete steps towards realizing the truth.

Candice Bergen, a conservative leader and not the actress, criticized Trudeau Tuesday. “This cannot be a slow and dragged out process simply because of the prime minister’s ego, pride, or denial.” Bergen said. “Canadians are too tired, Canadians need hope. So will the prime minister follow the science, follow the evidence, end the restrictions, end the mandates?” She then called on him to end the mandates. Trudeau was heckled at his response — which was no response.

Gretchen Whitmer who is seeking reelection this election, has been fearful of the protest spreading to the United States. Whitmer’s COVID-19 restrictions have been something you may not have heard of in the past six to eight months. It was because Whitmer realized that it wasn’t polling well for mask orders from this state to kids, and she decided to pursue another hobby prior to November 2022.

This mess is not her fault and has made her nervous. This is the result of a Thursday question she received at an event held in Western Michigan. Answering a question by Rachel Louise about Whitmer’s plans, if any. The Governor. Gretch’s response.

Well they need to resolve the issue, I’m not weighing in on the substance. I’m not getting into Canadian government policy.

The fact is that this is jeopardizing and compromising many Michigan jobs. Autos have already started to slow down, some are closing or are expected to close in the next few days. This needs to be addressed.

With the White House, our congressional delegation and some Premiers from Canada, I’ve been on the podium with our Canadian ambassador. This is what I’m asking them to do. I don’t think people appreciated what an immediate economic impact this would have on Michigan, quite frankly, and so, they understand now, and now they go to resolve it.

So I’m encouraging the White House to work with the Canadian government. You can have your conversations however long it takes. However, you must stop this blockade. They need unemployment because there are many people who have worked hard in an industry that has just recovered its full strength.

Michigan is likely to feel the effects. They must understand that they have the information now, and need to solve this problem. They must remove the blockade so commerce can flow once again.

Amazing to note that the man in Canada does the exact same thing she did in 2020-21 and she now says “RESOLVE IT.” Whitmer ended the mandates here — not because of the science but because of the PoliticsScience demands that you do not piss off the voters before an election.

The White House will not listen to her plea. These inflation figures just came out and will be difficult to explain to President Puddin brain. Gretch may be left hanging on to this matter. (see Joe Manchin is Not Happy with the Recent Inflation Statistics)

Gov. Gretch is still a chance at winning in the 50/50 race later this year. However, Gretch is still a 50/50 shot at winning if she can get blue-collar truckers, other workers, and the rational people of this world to agree with her. It’s up to her to press the panic button.
