GHOULISH: Telemundo Anchor Calls Babies “Products” in Report on Texas’ Heartbeat Law

The viewers of Telemundo’s Hoy DíaA new pronoun was learned for unborn babies: Product. Yup, babies are now products, as per a report featuring anchors Nicole Suárez, Nacho Lozano and veteran journalist Martin Berlanga, who catches himself as he is about to say “baby” in a report about the Texas Heartbeat Law, and stopped mid-word to replace it with the callous, dehumanizing term.

Watch as three Telemundo journalists discuss the “restrictive” Texas abortion law that saves babies as if referring to a robot:

NICOLE SUAREZ – All eyes will be on the Supreme Court as it reviews the controversial Texas abortion law on Monday.

NACHO LIZANO: Two months remain before its enforcement. NACHO LOZANO: We are two months away from its enforcement. RestrictiveThis measure is an attack on women’s reproductive rights as provided in the constitution. Martin Berlanga is with us at the main table and will explain what is at stake today.

MARTIN BERLANGA – There are many issues at stake. Many women are affected by this. But it also includes the rights of others to protect the right-to-life for all bab.. eh, product

One curious novelty in this report that pushes the same fallacies about abortion (including that at six weeks of pregnancy women don´t know that they are pregnant) is a newfound sympathy for Brett Kavanaugh, who the liberal media hope will turn pro-abortion.

Berlanga says: “Experts are now asking whether other people will stop trying to pass similar laws, or if this law is blocked. However, in order for the Supreme Court to block it, one of its judges would need to modify his position from the decision made last week. The most vulnerable person to do this is Brett Kavanaugh from the conservative justices. Kavanaugh is more open to public opinion and is less sensitive to the impression that the highest court power gives the citizens.

No child is worthy to be objectified no matter what the Supreme Court ultimately decides. In truth, a person who calls a baby “a product”, raises a red flag, not for the person´s view of human life, but of his own.

MARTIN BERLANGA: Nacho, Nicole, good morning. It is a very important time, and you have to make the best decision for yourself. Many women are affected by this. But it also includes the rights of others to protect the right-to-life for all bab… eh, product. The Supreme Court resumes debate on the Texas law prohibiting most abortions. SB8, also known as the Texas state law banning most abortions, is unusual. The Supreme Court had previously taken a position and permitted the law to continue in force.

Today’s Supreme Court hearings will determine whether or not the Justice Department has the right to sue Texas for stopping the enforcement of the Texas law prohibiting abortions within six weeks of conception. Before women know they’re pregnant, Incest cases and rape are included without exception.

ACTIVIST

BERLANGA – We know the Heartbeat Bill can save about 100 lives a days from abortion. The Supreme Court will also review parts of the law that allow any citizen to sue anyone helping a woman access abortion services. It is the same for Uber drivers as for doctors.

JOE BIDEN, PRESIDENT: That would be…

BERLANGA : President Obama supports abortion laws as they have been for 50+ years. When he was asked in Italy about his support for such a law, he avoided answering the question. The Pope paraphrased him about who was he to vote.

Protests erupted across the nation after the Texas governor signed the law in May.

EXPERT. The question here is whether an Order of Blocking the State can be made.

BERLANGA – Experts now wonder if others will abandon attempts to make similar laws if it is blocked. However, in order for the Supreme Court to block the bill this time, one judge would need to change his mind from the week before. The conservative judge Brett Kavanaugh is likely the most vulnerable, as he is more sensitive both to public opinion and to the impression that the top judicial authority in the country gives the populace.

The Supreme Court will be hearing a number of cases throughout the month that may change the abortion laws in America. We could see results by December with another law in Mississippi, which prohibits abortion after fifteen weeks. We insist that it’s not about constitutionality being discussed today. It is essentially about whether the Department of Justice has the right to file a lawsuit against Texas.

SUAREZ: As we know, the Supreme Court has a majority of conservative judges. Let’s wait and see.

BERLANGA A completely different outcome could result if one side crosses over to the other.

LOZANO:  A very interesting the debate especially thinking, as I said this morning xxxx, What does it mean for the state to have an influence on such personal decisions? that had already been legislated, that had already been, let’s say, harmonized with the legislatures and with the state laws. According to the life and decisions of the women themselves; a conservative majority, but an opportunity to set a precedent for what is to come not only in Texas, but also in Mississippi.

BERLANGA – There are other states who are open to similar lawsuits or similar initiatives.

SUAREZ : Martin, we are very grateful.

BERLANGA – Thank you.
